The Anglican Bishop of Nnewi Diocese, His Lordship Rt. Rev. Ndubuisi Obi has visited to commiserate with the Senator representing Anambra South, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah in his Abuja residence, over the recent bloody attack on his convoy by some yet-to-be-identified armed men, which led to loss of many lives.
Speaking during the condolence visit, Bishop Obi, who went alongside his wife, Mrs Ukamaka Obi, described the attack as tragic, and prayed for the peaceful repose of the souls of those who died in the attack.
While reassuring Senator Ubah of his prayers and God’s continuous protection, the Anglican prelate also condoled with the grieving families of the Senator’s aides and security personnel who were murdered in the attack; even as he prayed to God to bring succor and consolation to the bereaved.
Similarly, the CEO, Chikason Group of companies and MD A-Z Oil, Chief Sir Alex Chika Okafor also visited and commiserated with Senator Ubah over the unfortunate incident.
The Nnewi-born billionaire industrialist business tycoon, who utterly condemned the attack, also prayed for the peaceful repose of the casualties; while also expressing optimism that the Lord will surely expose and arrest those behind the attack.
Responding, Senator Ubah expressed gratitude to the sympathizers for their visit, and prayed God to continually bless and keep them.
Recall that Senator Ifeanyi Ubah survived an assassination attempt last Sunday, September 11, at Enugwu-Ukwu, Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra state, where a group of heavily-armed men attacked his convoy and gunned down many of his aides while aiming to assassinate him.
