Count me out of ADC, PDP alliance – Katsina’s only female candidate

Hajiya Hauwa Lawal Jibrin, the House of Assembly candidate for Katsina Local Government under the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has denied withdrawing from the race.

She also denied joining the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) nor declaring support for its governorship candidate, Sen. Yakubu Lado and other candidates of the party as acclaimed by some ADC members led by the party’s governorship candidate, Mr Ibrahim Trader.

Jibrin, who is the only female candidate for the 2023 elections in Katsina State denied the allegation at a press conference held on Thursday in Katsina.

She said: “I want to state it emphatically that I, Hon. Hauwa Lawal Jibrin, the ADC House of Assembly candidate for Katsina Local Government, is not a party to the unholy alliance and I want my supporters and the electorate to know that I am still in the race.”

Describing the development as sad and shameful, she noted that she is not a transactional politician but one with the sole aim of championing the cause of the downtrodden, women and youths in the society.

“This trend is what I seek to reverse if I am elected as a member of the State House of Assembly on Saturday, March 18th,” she said.

She appealed to her teeming supporters, women and youths as well as all lovers of good governance across the state to vote for Dr Dikko Radda whom she described as the best among the governorship candidates.

“I urge all registered voters who are lovers of progress and development in Katsina Local Government to troop out on Saturday, March 18th, and cast their votes for my candidature on the platform of ADC for people-oriented representation in the Assembly.

“Similarly, since the ADC gubernatorial candidate has abandoned his mandate to join PDP and having studied and examined all the gubernatorial candidates, it is important to point out that APC’s gubernatorial candidate, Dr Dikko Umar Radda possesses a better prerequisite for good governance despite the fact that I have not met him before,” she stated.

The governorship candidate of the ADC, Ibrahim Trader, had on Wednesday claimed that he has directed the party to collapse its structure and support the governorship candidate of the PDP, Sen. Yakubu Lado Danmarke as well as other PDP candidates in the March 18 elections.

Exclusive Leaked Audio Exposes Isah Yuguda, Yakubu Dogara & Abubakar Sadique’s Real Agenda

By Bashir Mustapha

Ambassador Sadique Baba Abubakar of APC appears to be surrounded by a band of sycophants who refuse to tell him things he doesn’t want to hear, so I will: Mr. Sadique, it is not in your interest to plan evil towards Bauchi state. If you do, you will likely lose. And you will destroy what remains of your little legacy in the process. Please, stop doing it.

Confidentially, from the meeting held on Tuesday, 14th March, 2023 by the Sadique gang quietly broadening its efforts to curb actions I consider dangerous to our democracy, an investigation I personally have experienced. Internal permutations and conversation — obtained via leaks — illustrate an expansive evil effort by Hon Yakubu Dogara, Senator Suleiman Nazif, Senator Isah Hamma Misau, Baba Waziri, Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouk and Mallam Isah Yuguda to influence electioneering processes.

During the meeting, the APC Gubernatorial candidate, a one-time ambassador to Chad, warned that the continued existence of two emirs of Katagum and Bauchi Emirates could undermine his administration if he returns a winner after 18th March Gubernatorial elections. According to the voice notes of the discussion I recorded and submitted to the Nigeria Police Force, Sadique stressed that “we first need to deal with the Emir of Katagum. He disowned my citizenship while the Emir of Bauchi for dethroning Baba Waziri and Hon Yakubu Abdullahi.”

“I will not coordinate with these Emirs. I’m disappointed when Baba Umar Farouk refuses to work for me”.

I have no intention of hiding who I am because I know I have done nothing wrong but tell the public the truth and save Bauchi state against the gang of serial looters and betrayal of public trust.

I understand that I will be made to suffer for my actions. The public is unaware of the planned evil activities of Mallam Isah Yuguda and Dogara. The Department of State Security had successfully tackled and arrested the hired thugs that were assigned to set Katagum Emirate ablaze during a campaign tour of Sadiq in Azare. I was the one who was paid money to burn Kundak’s car to divert public attention. Sadiya personally handed over the notes of 2m naira to my hands. In a similar way, myself and the APC state youth leader engineered the crises of Akuyam and Duguri towns.

Despite my determination to be publicly unveiled, I repeatedly insisted that I wanted to avoid the media spotlight. I don’t want public attention because I don’t want the story to be about me. I want it to be about what the evil plans of the camp of Airmarshal Sadique Baba Abubakar.

I’m willing to sacrifice all my life because I can’t in good conscience allow Air Marshall Abubakar and his syndicate to destroy the Bauchi and Katagum Emirate councils, peace of my state and basic liberties for the state with their secret mission of winning election at all costs.

I’m Bashir Mustapha, a former domestic aide to Airmarshal Sadique Baba Abubakar

0

From Chuks Collins, Awka

The Anambra State chapter of the Labour Party (LP)has announced its preparedness to do a clean sweep of the thirty(30) state assembly seats in the coming election at the weekend.

This was revealed at a media briefing at the Obidatti Campaign office, Udoka Housing Estate in Awka by the State chairman, Chief Ugochukwu Emeh.

Emeh who used the opportunity of the media briefing to commend “all Nigerians from all walks of life for trooping out on February 25,2023 to cast their votes dedicatedly for Labour Party(LP).

He therefore solicited the sustained support, zeal and understanding of the citizens, members of the Obidient Family and friends to ignore all forms of real or imagined barriers to troop out once again on Saturday, March 18 to vote with love, passion, and dedication for LP candidates.

Accordingly to the Chairman, “LP means transformation from all past lethargic ways of doing things. Transformation from corruption. Transformation from the institutionalized structures of evil, and the dismantling of threats to law abiding citizens.

“LP means permanent departure from official perfidy, departure from all the structures that had for so long held the nation down. LP means total departure from the formidably established ugly structures of no well equipped functional hospitals, well paved road network, educational sector, agricultural sector, streetlights, etc.

“I therefore urge all our supporters, party members, support groups, friends and wellwishers to ignore all the official/unofficial antidemocratic multidimensional threats from some political office holders in the State, and cast their votes massively for Labour Party.

Chief Emeh described LP as “the new dawn in our nation’s contemporary political firmament. And with the massive popular acceptance and support from voters as seen in the Feb 25,2023 presidential election, I call on all voters to shun apathy, but to come out and prove to all pessimist that LP is the new consciousness. The votes will help tell the world that the massive votes given to Obi on Feb 25 wasn’t a fluke. It will reaffirm our cases before the election tribunal.

“Democracy is actually about Multiple party participation and multiple voices participation, as that guarantees progress, dedicated service delivery, effective checks and balance. It is only an indolent minded duty bearer with the heart of a dictator that would want to have a colourless State Assembly. This is to enable him fully unleash his dictatorial nature on the citizens without anyone to ask questions.

“Anambra has long passed that style of administrative and leadership anomie. And it takes more than mere political bullying to earn the trust of Anambra citizens. So, we shall go all out on Saturday, March 18,2023 and elect all the 30 Labour Party State Assembly candidates so as to guarantee we benefit fully from the sweeping change coming to Nigeria soon.

The Chairman lifted the spirit of the citizens when he disclosed that “Our presidential candidate, HE Peter Obi is making very heartwarming progress daily at the law Courts, and would at the appropriate time recover his mandate.

The Edges Gov Bala Mohammed of Bauchi have over his Opponents – By Garba Adamu Gwangwangwan

The chances of winning elections depend on a variety of factors, including the political climate, the popularity of the candidate, the strength of the campaign organization, and the issues that resonate with voters. Other factors, such as demographics, economic conditions, and social trends, can also influence election outcomes.

It’s impossible to predict election results with certainty, as unforeseen events and changing circumstances can shift public opinion and voter behavior. Polls and surveys can provide some insight into public opinion, but they are not always accurate predictors of election outcomes.

Ultimately, the best way for a candidate to increase their chances of winning elections is to run a strong, well-organized campaign, build a broad coalition of support, and communicate a clear message that resonates with voters.

It is important to note that there is no single surefire way to win elections. Winning elections is a complex and multifaceted process that requires a combination of effective strategies, resources, and messaging. However, there are some factors that have been found to increase the chances of winning elections.

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State had done some developmental projects which are dotted at the nock and cranny of the state, people at the grassroots are living witness because a villager whose live were being changed courtesy of road network from Burga-Yalwan Duguri in Alkaleri will not doubt in any way to vote for Kaura for the second term.

It’s worth noting that winning elections also depends on the specific political environment, the quality of your opponent’s campaign, and a range of other factors beyond your control. Ultimately, the most important thing is to run a strong and effective campaign that connects with voters and builds momentum towards election day.

Consequently, Bala Muhammed campaign train transverse the twenty local government area of the state some prominent ward headquarters in his quest for reelection let along visiting some notable peoples who have strong network connections of voters at their disposal.

Elections are often won by the candidate who can mobilize the most supporters to vote. The strength of the campaign’s get-out-the-vote efforts and the enthusiasm of the candidate’s base can play a significant role in determining voter turnout.

Incumbency can be a significant advantage for a candidate running for reelection, as they already hold the office and have an established track record of their performance. Bala have Some additional factors related to incumbency that can impact election outcomes to his fortune

The sitting Governors are generally more well-known than their opponents, as they have been in office and in the public eye for some time. This can give them an advantage in terms of name recognition and familiarity with voters.

However, it’s worth noting that incumbency is not always a guarantee of reelection. If the incumbent has low approval ratings, is facing significant opposition, or is running in a particularly challenging political climate, they may be at a disadvantage. Additionally, if the opposing candidate is particularly strong or well-funded, they may be able to overcome the incumbent’s advantages and win the election.

Unarguably Senator Bala Muhammed is faced with strong coalition of opposition who are willing to unseated him base on the season known to them, their alliance with the strongest candidate among the aspirants people believed that they decided to pitch tent with All Progressives Congress party candidate is to achieve their selfish interests.

Nevertheless strength and quality of the opposing candidate(s) can also impact election outcomes. If the opposing candidate is seen as more appealing or has a stronger message, they may have a better chance of winning elections.

The electoral system used in a particular election can also impact the chances of winning. In some cases, the winner may be determined by a simple plurality of votes, while in others, a candidate may need to win a majority or meet other requirements to be declared the winner.

Buhari Gave Ex-Senate president, Joseph Wayas $150,000 Dollars for Medical Treatment-Rev Paschal Gold Nwaigwe, Ebonyi State APM Governorship Candidate and Ex-PA Reveals

0

…Igbo Mandate Congress Seeks FG Intervention

The Governorship aspirant of the Allied Peoples Movement in Ebonyi State and former Personal Assistant to Second Republic Senate President, Joseph Wayas, has revealed that President Muhammadu Buhari gave the family of the deceased and abandoned former Senate President $150,000dollars for medical treatment in Canada.

This was contained in an information and explanation obtained by the Leadership of Igbo Mandate Congress IMC in Abakaliki on Wednesday. It has been reported in the media recently that the corpse of the former Senate President was abandoned in London since his demise two years ago. The family had claimed they had no money to convey the corpse of the elder statesman to Nigeria for proper burial.

Igbo Mandate Congress and close political associates and extended family members had sought clarifications from the former Personal Assistant on the State of Affairs and circumstances surrounding the death of Joseph Wayas.

In his revelation Rev Gold Paschal said that Buhari gave the family $150,000 dollars to fly the elder statesman to Canada for medical treatment but the money was handed to Jowie ie Joseph Junior who arranged for the travels to UK instead of Canada as approved and agreed, and since then, the former senate president was kept incommunicado from close associates till his death.

According to Rev Nwaigwe, “ During the 70th Birthday of My Oga, Joseph Wayas, He called His Chief of Staff, Paul Evey, and instructed him to write my appointment letter as the Personal Assistant. Later he sent me on many errands of confidentiality for him. Recall that Wayas took me to so many political meetings during the tenure of Goodluck Jonathan, and equally represented him in certain places.

‘My Oga sent me to Governor ADAMS Oshiomhole in the company of his Aid-De-Camp, Inspector Abdullahi from Nasarrawa State. He told Oshiomhole that his Personal Assistant was coming with his ADC. We travelled to Edo, met Governor Oshiomhole after discussions, the Edo State governor asked us to see his Chief of Staff, who released the sum of three million naira. I signed the receipt register myself and we left for Abuja.

“When Wayas sickness was increasing, I met with Dr Bosse, his physician at the National Hospital, Abuja, and she obtained his medical records, which we followed up. Ndoma Egba as Chairman of Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC came to the rescue and released N9 million naira or so for Wayas to be treated. Some family members seized the money and Wayas health did not improve”

Rev Nwaigwe continued further

“ My Oga was a firm believer in Goodluck Jonathan and did not support the Buhari government. He constantly claimed that Buhari overthrew Shagari, Ekwueme and himself in 1984. Wayas told me that during Abacha regime, he met Buhari in the Villa and when the former stretched his had to shake him, my Oga refused to return the handshake, and Buhari went away.

‘Coincidentally when Buhari became President, Wayas refused to associate with him. Efforts by some of his confidants , including Rev Obinna Akukwe, Director General of Igbo Mandate Congress, Apostle Dr PCJ Macjossy, leader of GAAAICOM and others for him to get close to Buhari for the purpose of inclusive development of the South East and South South failed.

“Through inclusive efforts, including that of Ijeoma, former Secretary, who now works with the Ministry of Science and Technology, Paul, his Chief of Staff, and officials of the Department of State Service DSS, a meeting was scheduled between Buhari and Wayas in Aso Rock. It turned out to be a reconciliation meeting. Wayas gave me details of the meeting, which is not for public consumption. However, he came back with N1 million naira.

“Later we followed up on the contact and through the help of former Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, and Boss Mustafa, and backed by the medical records from his doctor, Buhari approved $150,000 dollars for Wayas to be flown abroad for medical treatment”

Nwaigwe claimed that Wayas children changed the destination of the medical treatment to UK. They told us that they will take him to UK for brief rest and later move to Canada for the treatment, Since 2019 till date Wayas never let UK till his death. He claimed that at some point they pressurized his doctor Bosse to travel to UK and see Wayas, and ascertain why he is not picking any of his two numbers. His children are permanently with the phones and whether he needs a new line. When Dr Bosse travelled to UK and came back, she confirmed to authorities that Wayas was not taken to any hospital.

Nwaigwe claimed that they followed up with other political associates who confirmed that Wayas was in a solitary apartment in a place off Heathrow Airport and appears not to be happy with anybody.

Nwaigwe claimed that he contacted Senator Ndoma Egba who then was Presidential Liison Officer to National Assembly and Dr Ogbonnaya Onu, then Minister of Science and Technology and pleaded with them to inform Buhari and the UK Embassy that a former Senate President in Nigeria is in solitary confinement, incommunicado, and should be rescued back to Nigeria.

Rev Nwaigwe asked President Buhari to assist the family once more to bury the elder statesman. Rev Paschal Gold Nwaigwe is a two time governorship candidate in Ebonyi State in 2019 and 2023. He is currently contesting again in 2023 under Allied Peoples Movement APM

The Director General of Igbo Mandate Congress IMC Rev Obinna Akukwe has described the abandonment of Wayas corpse as abomination. He said that Wayas is a top Security Intelligence Officer who served Nigeria selflessly. He thanked President Buhari for responding to save the life of the elder statesman by releasing $150,000 dollars. He asked him to constitute a proper state burial for Wayas.

According to Akukwe “We ask President Buhari to ensure that Wayas is given proper burial. Wayas was a bastion of peace. What happened with the burial of Chukwuma Azikiwe should not happen again. During Chukwuma Azikiwe’s burial, Ex- Governor Willie Obiano connived with Onitsha Chieftains, intimidated Senator Chris Ngige and Chief Mrs Sharon Ikeazor to ensure that Buhari did not attend the burial of his close friends.

“I was in the Seven Man Burial Committee with Ngige as leader, but Obiano, APGA Chieftains ganged up Obi of Onitsha and other Onitsha Chiefs to ensure that Buhari does not visit Onitsha. Governor Obiano harassed George Ossi Permanent Secretary from the Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development whom Buhari sent to renovate Ziks House and Mausoleum in preparation for his burial. They threw up all manners of sentiments aimed at punishing Chukwuma over his friendship with Buhari when, according to their strange theory, Chukwuma is hobnobbing with Jihadists who want to Islamize South East. At the end, the two sons of Chukwuma Azikiwe, Chinwe and Ikechukwu, went back to UK and Haiti disappointed.”

2023: Confusion In Anambra LP Over Election Funds, As Soludo/ REC Dismisses Allegations

0

By Okey Maduforo Awka

Ahead of the conduct of the State Assembly election in Anambra state there is a growing confusion within the ranks of the Labour Party over reports of funds allegedly provided for the party agents to monitor the electoral process.

Though the state Chairman of the party Chief Ogochukwu Ene had described the allegation as untrue some Assembly members who spoke to reporters in Awka contended that they were supposed to have been informed about the funds and how much it is but has been shrouded in secrecy.

They further alleged that the National Assembly Candidates of the party have abandoned them to their fates in the coming election even though They mobilized voters during the Presidential and National Assembly elections which gave the party victory.

According to the spokesman of the group who gave his name as Uchenna Nwokoye ” After the last election we had a meeting at the marble Arch hotel Awka to fashion out how to deliver our state Assembly Candidates most of them failed to show up and we expected them to join hands with us but nothing is happening”

“We learnt that some funds were made available for the agents and up till now nobody is telling us what is happening and the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA have been everywhere mobilizing and sensitizing the voter but we are doing nothing”

“I have my fears that we may not win up to five seats in this election and that magic that happened in the last election cannot be replicated going by what we have on ground” he said.

But in his reaction the party chairman said that he is not aware of any fund made available for the election describing Uchenna Nwokoye as not speaking for the candidates.

Similarly Gov Charles Soludo and the Resident Electoral Commissioner Dr Queen Elizabeth Agwu have dismissed the allegation of N100 million bribe contending that it is diversionary.

According to the Commissioner who spoke on phone;

“We have passed this stage of name calling or name dropping and I wish to dissociate myself and the Commission from those spurious allegations because instead of politicians going out to campaign to the voters they have chosen to attack the Commission and the Commission would not want to be distracted”

She quarried who brought the money and through who or the banks involved contending that the Commission would not allow itself to be subjected to share blackmail.

Reacting through his Press Secretary, Mr. Christian Aburime, Governor Soludo described the allegations as propaganda from the pit of hell, which, he said, the opposition are using to blackmail him because they do not stand a chance on Saturday.

He wondered why he should ever imagine or think of resorting to threats to make people vote APGA, while his numerous achievements in his less than one year in office are already speaking volume and are enough to give victory to APGA House of Assembly candidates in the state.

According to Aburime who interacted with journalists in Awka on Wednesday, apart from the fact that Anambra remains an APGA state, it would be unfair for any Anambra indigene to see all the good works of the Governor and still not vote for APGA in Saturday’s election.

While recounting the Governor’s achievements in office, he also expressed confidence that APGA will win majority seats in the State’s House of Assembly come Saturday, even as he called on Ndị Anambra not to allow anyone deceive them under any disguise.

He said, “The Governor will be one year in office on Friday, but you will think he has been here for four years already. Within this one year, he has employed 5,000 teachers for our schools, that is something that has never happened anywhere before.

“When he came to office, there were no doctors in most of the hospitals across the state, but the governor has employed many doctors, nurses and other caregivers, in addition to road projects being flagged off everywhere in the state.

“We are confident that on Saturday, we will win majority seats in the state assembly. No Anambra indigene who wishes the state well will allow another party to dominate the house of assembly. That will create distractions in the developmental strides the governor. has embarked upon.”
