KATSINA, Nigeria — Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has commended the Katsina North Youth Development and Awareness Initiative (KNYDAI) for endorsing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the state administration for continuity ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Governor Radda offered the commendation on Wednesday at an empowerment ceremony organized by KNYDAI at the Daura Motel in Daura, where 1,500 beneficiaries received financial and material assistance.

The empowerment drive, sponsored by KNYDAI Grand Patron and Sarkin Fadan Daura, Alhaji Lawal Sade, targeted widows, persons with disabilities, vulnerable individuals, and community members to support the startup and expansion of micro and small enterprises.

Speaking at the gathering, Governor Radda stated that the intervention aligns directly with broader economic objectives aimed at reducing poverty and fostering self-reliance across local communities. He noted that public-private partnerships remain essential, as the government alone cannot meet all social development needs.

Earlier in the event, KNYDAI Chairman Dr. Imam U.M. Aljazira outlined the organization’s focus areas, which include education, entrepreneurship, civic engagement, and youth development. He confirmed that the 1,500 beneficiaries were selected across community units to help boost household incomes.

Dr. Aljazira further stated that the initiative formally endorsed both President Tinubu and Governor Radda for 2027, referencing their policy focus on digital growth, healthcare, infrastructure, education, and agricultural development.
