South-East For President: UPP Disagrees With Nnia Nwodo, Uzodinma, Others
The struggle, lobby and consultations for the highest Political
Office of Nigeria (President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria) has
become highly interesting, as the top job shall be won by the best
candidate who will be expected to lead Nigeria to development,
civilization, growth and success through the enthronement of hardwork,
discipline, justice, love, good organization and fear of God.
The United Progressive Party (UPP) vehemently disagrees with some
Elders in Igboland who without justification decided to zone out
qualified persons from the Southeast geopolitical zone from contesting
for the top job on any political party platform of their choice.
Some of the Igbo Elders who believe the Igbo may be in the
presidential race only with effect from 2023 are Chief John Nnia
Nwodo, Chief Hope Uzodinma, and others. They missed the point and in
addition, they are not in any vantage position to offer any party
presidential ticket and also the relevant network of operations to
deliver any candidate to victory.
At the moment, the only political parties in Nigeria that have
Governors to their credit (PDP, APC, APGA) have each zoned the
position of presidential candidate to the North of Nigeria. By their
calculation which the parties are entitled to, they have deliberately
thrown healthy competition away into the bush.
It is better to pick and vote for a presidential candidate from a pool
of capable, qualified, young and sound men and women who may emerge as
presidential candidates from any part of the country through
registered political parties. These great people must show their
interest in the following to be able to achieve justice and stability
in the country:
(a) Resource Control
(b) Restructuring of the country politically and physically,
starting with the six geopolitical zones as federating units of
Nigeria.
(c) Opportunity for Self-Determination as to allow disciplined,
healthy competition in various areas of development and application of
Gear theory in socio-economic-politico
(d) Referendum as a means of stopping impunity, high-handedness,
imposition, marginalization, oppression and dwarf mentality that
encourage half measures, cutting corners, mediocrity and corruption.
(e) State and Community Policing – to ensure security of lives and
property of all Nigerians and foreigners living in the country.
(f) To make the study of History compulsory at High school level.
Finally, the IPOB, all agitators and Nigerians are advised to embrace
the redefinition of Nigeria through the efficient restructuring of the
country by peacefully participating in the Electoral Process to vote
in UPP candidates at all elections, because UPP is the only political
party in Nigeria that has offered Nigerians within the party’s
Manifesto, the most powerful social contract that includes Resource
Control, Self-Determination, Restructuring, Referendum, State Police,
Release of all Political Prisoners and the opportunity for Ethnic
Nations of Nigeria to be proud of their (identity, tradition,
language) and afford them freedom for lawful national and
international relationships and engagements to create additional
wealth for their happiness.
