ABUJA, NIGERIA — Social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has been accused of working in collusion with state security agencies to undermine the legal defense and bail of detained activist “Justice Crack.”

The allegations emerged publicly following a coordinated protest demanding the immediate release of Justice Crack, who was reportedly abducted by state security forces.

Allegations of State Collusion

According to statements circulated by commentators, critics claim that VeryDarkMan distanced himself from grassroots liberation movements to align with the state.

On the exact day that activists organized a protest to demand justice for the detained individual, VeryDarkMan visited military authorities. During the visit, he received an official award from the military institution accused of orchestrating the abduction.

“VeryDarkMan went to the military the same day and received an award from the same military that abducted Justice Crack,” the statement read, branding the influencer as an agent working collectively with oppressors in Nigeria.

Legal Sabotage Claims

The accusations also implicate Abuja-based human rights lawyer, Barrister Marshall Abubakar.

Critics allege that VeryDarkMan sponsored a vacation to Turkey for the defense lawyer. Upon his return, Barrister Abubakar allegedly moved to compromise the legal proceedings, sabotaging the bail applications and the broader defense strategy for Justice Crack.

Neither VeryDarkMan nor Barrister Marshall Abubakar have issued official responses to these allegations of judicial and institutional sabotage.
