The political atmosphere continue to be shaking and harboring due to the little time available for politicians to sell themselves and their lofty programs for the electorates as the 2023 general election approaches and electioneering period hit up few weeks ago.
Kebbi state is one of the state governor Atku Bagudu is finishing his two consecutive tenure as governor of the state that witnessed alleged massive corruptions and kicks backs courtesy of the secretary to the state government of the state Alhaji Umar Babayo Yawuri, who was desperate to succeed the incumbent governor so as to cover up their alleged sharp practices until when destiny changed the governor’s mind to ignore the SSG based on some reason best known to him an mistrust between the governor and SSG who mooted for the coveted position and to continue derailing the resources of the state with pride and ego.
Until the just concluded primary elections that produced the former NUT chairman as the APC gubernatorial standard bearer of the party in the forthcoming elections, the party in the state began to experience mass exodus from the after after realizing the rotten the state government would left the state into, a reason on the other hand that ignite the frustrated secretary to the state government prepare his arsenals to joined the defeated race or the remaining option of Anti-party he believed was not fair to him despite covering the governor’s mess and the vacuum created at the detriment of the masses. Though, a source close to the SSG said “ the SSG believed one powerful personal Assistant to the governor Umar Enabo was the brain behind his selection to succeed governor Bagudu despite their unholy allegiance with the governor years.
The Secretary to the government of the state Umar Babayo Yawuri is also at the loggerhead with the powerful governor’s Personal Assistant that has support from the governor. Its alleged that even the SSG has to somewhat lobbied something or support from the aide before securing approval for official services or seeing the governor. Though, this medium leant that the powerful PA is on the run after cornering the state funds whisked away for the governor’s loot, a move believed is perpetrated by the Secretary to the state government to chase the Personal assistant from blocking his chances of getting closer to the governor and the state patrimony.
The exile of the PA Umar Enabo has sometimes given the SSG the rare opportunity to be acting as governor of the state after alleged victimization and sidelining by the Personal Assistant and few powerful people within the government are blocking his chances to actualize his long term ambition to be counted among the richest person in the state and to use his position to dealt with whosoever tried or may block his quest for supremacy.
The Secretary to the state government Babale umar Yauri, had on many occasions accused Umar Enabo for singlehandedly remote controlling Governor Bagudu in discharging the affairs of the state and sometime his decision is overriding the executive arm, that is why the governor is making disastrous bloomers in his actions and the recent nomination of candidates that may not deliver their wards not even their constituencies. On the other hand, Enabo, went ahead to prove his capacity and influence by imposing his in law Hussaini Kangiwa as APC central senatorial candidate, a decision that provoked many politicians in the state including the ambitious SSG who never thought such would happened from an ordinary Personal assistant who has the backing of the governor. In this process of in positioning, it was alleged that Enabo collected millions of naira million from interested candidates of various positions excluding the SSG who is not in good time with the superpower PA, though; the PA was allegedly collected highest amount of money to help Comrade Nasiru secured the APC guber ticket the SSG Babale umar Yauri was crazy for. Whilst, the handiwork pleases the incumbent governor to appreciate to eulogies his errand boy Enabo against the odds including the desperate SSG who is mobilizing people within the party to work against the party APC in the fourthcoming general elections next year.

After succeeding in chasing the superpower Umar Enabo to be out of the country, the next thing the SSG vowed to achieve is to ensure defeat of the APC that denied him the gubernatorial dream after meritorious years of service to the state and his achievement of blocking the minister of Justice and attorney general of the federation from actualizing the same gubernatorial position that both of them loose the opportunity.
