Expresses Confidence In Security Operatives

The sustained criticism on the alertness of security operatives in Anambra state has drawn the anger of Governor Charles Soludo who dismissed the allegations of architectural collapse insisting that the area is in safe hands.
This development is in connection with the kidnap and release of the CEO of Jezco Oil And Gas Chief Sir Joseph Ezeokafor.
Soludo also expressed implicit confidence on the security operatives in the state in bringing the perpetrators of the recent kidnap to book .
According to the Commissioner for Information Dr Law Mefor who spoke to reporters in Awka , it doesn’t translate to the collapse of Security Architecture in the state.
“It is not a dent on the celebrated security architecture in the state because one incident in six months is not and cannot be a dent but what is important and government is happy about is that the man is alive and healthy because many have died while in hostage”
Mefor noted that there are still some pockets of miscreants who are still around and that they once in a while sneak into the state to operate .
“We as a government would be much happier if the perpetrators are apprehended and brought to book and for those who have gone to Town to criticize the security situation in Anambra state, they should know that one incident in about six months do not mean that security formations have collapsed in the state”
Mefor expressed confidence in the security operatives across board in sustaining the security of lives and property adding with the new Commissioner of Police Nnanna Amah who he described as a homeboy having served as the Area Commander of Nnewi the apprehension of the miscreants will not take long .
“Incidents of this nature goes to improve the security operations in the state and we know that the new CP is alive to his responsibilities as well as other sister security agencies in the state and the immediate past Police Commissioner Ikioye Orutugu did excellently well and we know that Amah would surpass that and we urge the people of Anambra state and those resident in the state that our security is top notch and they should go about their lawful duties freely without fears or worries” he said.
