I See The Expectations Of Adamawa Christians Dashing Off In Fintiri Led Administration-Steven

A People’ Democracy Party (PDP) loyalist who claimed staunch support to the elected Governor of Adamawa state, Rt Hon Ahmadu Umar Fintiri said he sees the hope and expectations of christians in the state dashing off in the PDP led administration under Fintiri.

Steven Adamu who because of his serious hate of APC and immediate past government under Sen Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla Bindo said he used his resources to sponsored himself and many others to all the 21 LGAs in the state campaigning for Fintiri.

According to him majority of Christians in the state massively voted against APC and work for the success of the PDP in the state but things seems to start turning up against them at the first appointment done by Fintiri.

Adamu revealed that the transition committee is the first indicator of the plans of Fintiri Government to sidelined Christians in the state.

He worry that Christians were hoping to see the post of SSG coming from their ends but Governor Fintiri ended up appointing one of his Muslim closest friend,in person of Engr Bashir Ahmad.

“Now as I’m talking to you the faith of Christians on who becomes the next Chief of Staff in this PDP government is hanging on the air, we can’t be confidence in the major leadership of the state.

” Honestly Bindo government is much more better because only few Christians that work for APC then government but were included in the formation of the government and we can say that there were notable appointment done to consider them.

“I’m not sure that Chief of staff or speaker of the state house of Assembly will be a Christian, seeing the parochial and primordial sentiments Fintiri government is beginning to do.

” You can help me do the simple arithmetic, the Governor is a Muslim, the deputy is a Christians, the SSG is a Muslim, if the Speaker of the Assembly and the Chief of staff turns to be a Muslim or one of them a Christian I tell you the Christians have already being marginalized.

“I don’t think this is what we bargain for, I was expecting that if worse come to worse his government will evenly share appointments and resource of the state across the two major religion.” Adamu said

He continue to say that the leadership of PDP party structure in the state has already sidelined Christians that alone calls for a sort of balancing in the political appointments in the Fintiri led government.

While confiding on tgnews of his heart touched fears appointments against the Christians Adamu called on CAN under the leadership of Bishop Steven Dami Mamza to insist that all appointment should be evenly shared among the two major religions.

Much effort were made by our correspondent to get a response from the Director General of publicity and communication of the Governor, Mr Solomon Kumangar failed as his number at the time of this publication is saying ” switched off “, another PDP die-hard, Barr Sunday Wugira in his own personal opinion said that capacity and competent should be the guiding principles of appointments not in the basis of religion.

Wugira said that Adamawa needs somebody that will be fair to all, somebody that has the passion of peace to develop Adamawa state, somebody that is having a burden desire to serve the people of Adamawa state either you are Christian or a Muslim.

In his views that he personally want to be appointed into a position because he is competent and qualify, even if he is call to serve in the basis of religion he will not take it.

He strongly condemned the views of Steven that is harping the appointment done by Gov Fintiri on the basis of religion which will kill all of us if we encourage it.

According to Sunday that democracy is not practicing at the basis of religion but competent and capacity, who will deliver what is good to all citizens of the state.

” Injustice is not metted out against a particular religion but against all people and so goes to justice, Adamawa should be beacon of hope by the kind of leaders we have, even if the person is an atheist in as much he can do Justice to all that settle the matter. ” wugira said
