“Okezie Ikpeazu is in Asaga village Ohafia. He is hiding in the house of his Chief of Staff, one Ukpai Agwu Ukpai. Our youths in Ohafia are hereby instructed to capture him alive to face trial for the numerous murders he committed including the death of protesters yesterday in Aba. On no account must he be allowed to leave Ohafia alive. It’s an order.”

This was according to a quote released by the leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra [IPOB], Mazi Nnamdi Kanu ordering the protesters in the state capital of Abia State to capture the governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu. The statement was released today, October 21, 2020.

Nnamdi Kanu’s statement come amidst indications that the ENDSARS protests might have the blessings of the leader of IPOB – citing his earlier broadcast were he made bold pronouncements about an October 2020 shutdown of Nigeria.

In Abia State, the activities of the ENDSARS protesters appears to have been ramped up recently following the altercations in Lagos.

Two police officers were said to be killed following the firing of life bullets by the police officers in Aba. The protesters did not show fear or retreat from their forward positions as a result of the gunshots from the police officers. Rather, the protesters approached the police with determined intensity. The police took to their heels.

The protesters then took to the streets with boldness. The streets of Umuahia was quickly over taken by the protesters – bringing the state capital to a shutdown.

Nnamdi Kanu orders to capture the State Governor may have come under the clout of embodiment.

But the activities on the ground in Umuahia indicate the Governor may have not gone into hiding as indicated by Nnamdi Kanu. A source at the government house in Umuahia told 247ureports.com that the Governor recently held a meeting with his security advisors. “He is not hiding anywhere, certainly not in Ohafia”
