…voters receive N10,000 each
….PDP says it’s fake money
The People Democratic Party (PDP) said on Saturday said it has it on good authority that officials of the Independent  Electoral  Commission (INEC) assigned to collation centers at different wards for the saturday Southern Ijaw rerun election have finally been compromised by All  Progressive Congress (APC) as they have collected initial N3000,000 and appended their signature to the fake result sheets.
This is coming as report reaching us from Okodi reveals that APC are currently inducing voters with N10000 each for their votes.
The party’s Director of Publicity in Restoration Campaign Organisation, Hon. Jonathan Obuebite, stated these in an interview with journalists in Yenagoa.
He said, “At last, we have been vindicated, as APC continues with is desperation,  and INEC officials posted to ensure a smooth conduct of the Southern Ijaw local LGA and 101 units have been compromised.  This is rather unfortunate as intelligent report reveals that despite our earlier warning, each of the INEC collation officials have received N300,000 out of the N1 million they were promised.
“Having been convinced that a humiliating defeat is starring them in the  face APC has,  according to our staff at Okodi,  been inducing voters with N10,000 per voter.
It is rather unfortunate that despite our warning,  INEC did not heed to the need to nip this ugly development in d bud.”
called on all their ward agents to be extra vigilant during  the Saturday, January 9 rerun.
The party also accused Chief Timipre Sylva of inducing each INEC official with the sum of N1 million.
The Director of Publicity, Restoration Campaign Organisation, Chief Jonathan Obuebite, sounded the warning on Friday in Yenagoa.
He said, “In their desperation to win by other means at the rescheduled rerun election of Southern Ijaw and 101 other In Bayelsa State, the APC and its candidate,  Chief Timipre Sylva, are set to bribe their way with one million naira to each INEC official.
“As a result  of this desperation we have  placed our agents for tomorrow’s  election to be extra  vigilant.  This is In continuation of their desperation as APC has since discovered that they cannot win PDP on a free and fair election.
“Just like they did during the  December 5 polls, bulk of these money were currencies,  as it is proven that APC is broke.”
It would be recalled that  the PDP,  had prior to the December 5 election uncovered plans by the leading opposition party to induce voters with over N2bn fake naira note,  which turned out to be true.
While making this revelation in Yenagoa, Hon. Obuebite had called on the general public to examine the money they are collecting from the members of APC.
Describing the act as criminal and a punishable offence, under the law,  Obuebite had stated that,  “The printing and circulation of fake currencies was aimed at making up for the short fall in funding arising from the refusal of the Niger Delta Development Commission, (NDDC) to fund the campaign of the APC gubernatorial candidate, Chief Timipre Sylva.
Reports had It then that, President Muhammadu Buhari, personally stopped the NDDC from releasing about N4 billion that was meant to fund APC candidate for the December 5 election in Bayelsa State.
The PDP had prior to this period raised an alarm over plans by the NDDC to award of phony contracts to fund Sylva’s election.
Having failed in this aspect, the party later perfected another plan to induce innocent voters with fake naira and dollar notes that are already in circulation.
The party called on the security operatives and other relevant agencies to step into the matter and bring the culprits to book.
