Kwankwaso’s aide emerges APC chairman In Kano

Governor Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso’s Commissioner for Higher Education, Umar Haruna Doguwa emerged the chairman of Kano chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in a peaceful congress that was held at the Indoor Sports Hall of Sani Abacha Stadium on Monday in Kano.

The 36 officers elected to steer the ship of APC in Kano came on board as a result of the consensus arrangement struck among the blocs within the party.

APC stakeholders had met 24 hours before the state congress and collectively agreed to share the positions among the political blocs without hassles.

Alhaji Ali Danmaraya emerged as Vice Chairman; Alhaji Rabi’u Bako, Secretary; Hon. Abbas Sani Abbas, Assistant Secretary; Baffa Babba Dan Agundi, Vice Chairman Central; Alhaji Sule Lawan Ligge, Vice Chairman North; Alhaji Abdulkarim Mohammed Gaya, Vice Chairman South.

Others include Alhaji Muntari Sale, Financial Secretary; Sunusi Haruna Mohammed Falali, Legal Adviser; Sule Shuwaki, Youth Leader, Comrade Sale Lili, Welfare Officer; and Hajiya Habiba Yandalla as Women Leader.

On the whole officers were elected in the exercise that lasted for about seven with 3069 delegates drawn from the 44 Local Government Areas of the state.

Congress Committee chairman who came from National Secretariat of the party, Dr. Mustapha Inuwa said all the political blocs that formed Kano APC met before the congress and agreed on consensus candidates.

Prominent among those in the congress include Governor Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, his Deputy, Umar Abdullahi Ganduje, former Deputy Governors of the state, Magaji Abdullahi and Abdullahi Tijani Gwarzo, Hon. Ado Alhasan Doguwa, Senator Ibrahim Kabiru Gaya, Hon. Abdulralman Kawu Sumaila.

Others include Hon. Nasiru Ali Ahmed, Alhaji Ahmed Garba Bichi, Alhaji Aminu Dabo, Alhaji Yusuf Ali, Commissioners serving under Governor Kwankwaso, among others.
