ABUJA — Two commercial sex workers arrested by police operatives have confessed to biting off a significant portion of a client’s penis following a bitter dispute over a staggering one-million-Naira debt.
The suspect, who was left bleeding profusely following the attack, was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition, while the two women were taken into custody.
The graphic incident, which has generated shock and intense debates across social media, unfolded after the victim allegedly refused to pay the agreed-upon sum after utilizing their services continuously for three days.
Three Days of Luxury for N2,500
Speaking to journalists during their parade by law enforcement officers, the suspect confessed to the physical assault but argued that they were driven to violence by extreme economic frustration and betrayal.
According to the suspects, they had entered into clear backroom negotiations with the client before the service commenced, where they explicitly stated that their fee for the extended multi-day engagement would total one million Naira (N1,000,000). The client reportedly agreed to the terms without hesitation.
“For three days he was sleeping with us after he agreed to the price,” one of the suspects stated during the police briefing. “Then after everything, he had the mind to give us only two thousand five hundred Naira (N2,500). That was why we bit his penis. He is not dead, he was just rushed to the hospital.”
Escalation to Violence
The suspects explained that the offer of N2,500—an amount that represents less than one percent of the negotiated fee—was viewed as a deliberate insult and an attempt to defraud them of their livelihood.
When verbal arguments failed to make the client produce the balance, the confrontation turned physical. The women pinned the victim down and utilized their teeth to inflict severe, debilitating injuries on his genital organ before neighbors, alerted by his agonizing screams, intervened and called the police.
Medical personnel at the facility where the victim was rushed have indicated that while his life is not in immediate danger, he will require extensive reconstructive surgery to repair the severe tissue damage caused by the assault.
Legal Consequences and Human Rights Angle
While some observers on social media have expressed mixed reactions regarding the extreme level of deception by the client, the FCT Police Command has reiterated that Grievous Bodily Harm (GBH) and attempted murder remain severe felonies under the criminal code.
Law enforcement officials emphasized that commercial disputes, regardless of the nature of the transaction, cannot be settled through violent self-help or physical mutilation.
The two suspects are currently being processed and are expected to be arraigned in a conventional court of law on charges ranging from conspiracy to causing severe physical injury, while investigators await the recovery of the victim to record his formal statement.
