These are not the best of times for the gubernatorial candidate of the Young Peoples Party [YPP], Chief Ifeanyi Patrick Uba who according to credible information available to 247ureports.com indicates the YPP candidate to be in a financial bind and is running out of campaign funds execute his gubernatorial quest.
According to the available information, the oil mogul [Ifeanyi Uba] who owns one of the largest oil tank farms in West Africa and has had debt repayment issues on outstanding debts resulting in AMCON’s confiscation of his companies – is reported to have solved one of his luxurious vehicles in addition to two properties in Anambra State. The three items were sold to a fellow by the name Akai Egwuonwu of Amichi, Nnewi in Anambra State for the sum of N630million.
But in talking to the Ifeanyi Uba campaign media director – popularly referred to as “Carmel” – rebutted the development with a laugh and called it mere propaganda and desperation by other gubernatorial candidates whose campaign appear to be faltering. “Ifeanyi Uba is a man of means”. He said.
He added, Ifeanyi Uba’s campaign is not running out of cash as alleged. He pointed to the many welfare programs embarked by the oil mogul – including sport utility vehicles [SUVs] donated to the monarchs in Anambra and the food items distributed to women in Anambra as indicators that the oil mogul remains financially sound and liquid.
Adding credence to what Carmel stated is another media practitioner in Awka who. Had worked for Ifeanyi Uba at his troubled Newspaper – The Authority. The media fellow who requested his name not be mentioned told 247ureports.com that Ifeanyi Uba “Is not broke. He may owe workers salaries of over 5years but he is financially sound to conduct the campaign and election. Even if he sold his Bentley, it does not mean he is running out of cash”.
Another source close to Ifeanyi Uba disclosed to 247ureports.com that Ifeanyi Uba has settled all his numerous debts including the N5billion dispute with the owner of Coscharis – who had had a financial dispute with Ifeanyi Uba. The source indicated that Ifeanyi Uba revealed to him that he has rebounded from his brief financial problem that resulted to his stint with the AMCON.
Ifeanyi Uba is currently serving as the senator representing the south senatorial district of Anambra State under the political platform of YPP.
