This is to bring to the knowledge of the people of the State in particular and indeed, the general public that the Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha had left the State for London on the invitation of the authorities of the world-famous Chatham House.
The governor had travelled on Monday, March 7, 2016 by 7:30pm through the Port-Harcourt International Airport enroute London.
The governor had been invited by the authorities of the renowned CHATHAM HOUSE in London to deliver a speech on the topic “Nigerians Human Capital and State Education Initiative: The view from Imo State”.
The historic event has been scheduled for Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at the CHATHAM HOUSE, and the Governor would be granted the floor to deliver his speech from 12:30 to 1:30 London time.
The governor’s free education programme from Primary to University level and his Concerted effort at Human Capital Development Initiatives in the State had occasioned the interest of the London based Chatham House to invite him to talk on the referenced topic.
The governor had also travelled with very few Senior government functionaries to witness the historic event and they would be expected back to the State at the weekend. The governor had equally asked for the prayers of the Citizens of the State to make the outing successful and for God’s journey mercy.
