The Police in Abia State has arrested a man claiming to be Lieutenant of the Nigerian Army.
The fake Lieutenant identified as Ahanna Ogwezi, specialized in stealing exotic cars from car stands.
247ureports gathered that the suspect also bears several names as Lt. DanjumaAliyu when in Abia State and Lt. Thompson Adedeji in Imo state.
The suspect, who is always dressed in full military uniform with the rank of a Lieutenant, is eloquent and speaks good English which does not give room to his victim to doubt his personality.
According to him, he is a product of Nigeria Military School and studied medicine and surgery at Madonna University.
He was alleged to have visited a car stand at Umuahia where he pretended to buy one and fled with a Toyota Camry 2011 car while test running it.
Policemen from the State Criminal Investigations Department, Abia state later traced the stolen car to a buyer at Onitsha who confessed to have agreed to buy the car for N2.8m, but deposited N.7m
When the residence of the fake soldier was searched, a Toyota Avalon and Camry cars as well as a Lincoln Navigator jeep, were recovered.
Abia State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ezekiel Udeviotu Onyeke, who confirmed the incident, said investigations are ongoing.
