Sen. Smart Adeyemi (APC-Kogi) has urged former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar to beg Nigerians for forgiveness for selling Nigeria’s assets, rather than seeking to occupy the presidential seat.

Adeyemi, who represents Kogi West at the National Assembly said this when he interacted with indigenes of Kogi residing in Minna on Tuesday at a forum call ‘Tinubu/Shetiman Renewed Hope 2023’.
He said that the former vice-president should apologise to Nigerians for selling the country’s collective wealth.
“Atiku under his watch as chairman of privatisation, sold our collective wealth and that was the origin of poverty and insecurity in Nigeria.
“So, Atiku should first apologies to Nigerians for the way and manner they expended N16 million dollars for power holding and yet we don’t have 24 hours power supply.
“Atiku should explain to us the maladministration of the privatisation exercise they embarked on which of course cumulated into insecurity and the prospect of Nigerian economy today was a result of the exercise by the PDP which was chaired by Atiku Abubakar,” he said.
The Senator however, called on Nigerians to support the presidential candidate of the All Progress Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shettima adding that they were both men with great antecedents.
“What Nigeria needs now is a man with great vision so that our foreign reserve will be enhanced, so that we will enjoy security of lives and property and the country’s economy will move to a higher level,” he said.
He described Tinubu and Shettima as a great combination from rich background and not coming to steal from Nigerians but to make the country regain its lost glory.
In his remarks, Gov. Abubakar Sani-Bello of Niger, decried the situation in the country as compared to what it was before 1999 and advised Nigerians to vote for competent leaders that would pulled the country out of its present situation.
“What Nigeria was before 1999 and what it is now make me to weep for our children, our textiles and industries were working in the past which were creating jobs, poverty and insecurity was not much, you could travel freely from one state to another without fear.
” But the situation we have today is very sad and what Nigeria has turned out to be today is very sympathetic,” he said.
Bello appreciated the people of Kogi living in the state and appealed to them as well as other non-indigenes to support APC and vote for all its candidates.
In his remarks, Alhaji Mansu Abdul, Chief of Ebira in Niger, promised full support to all candidates of APC both at state and national levels.

The attack according to Mr. Eli, “was masterminded by the Council Chairman, Mr. Enyiada Cookey-Gam, had thugs block both ends of the only access road after the convoy of Tonye Cole had arrived at the King Jaja Square. The crash, which happened along Umoukpu Road by Express, was between unidentified drivers of white/blue Mercedes 608 bus (with the registration number: ENU355 UJ) and white/black Mack tipper (with no registration number). The bus has the inscription “Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe” on it.
According to a statement issued by the Ag. Sector Public Education Officer, Federal Road Safety Command (FRSC) Anambra State Command, RC Margaret Onabe, 18 male adults and 24 female adults were involved in the crash, while 15 male adults and 24 female adults sustained varying degrees of injury and were rushed to the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Amaku Awka by the officials of FRSC rescue team from RS5.3 Awka, for medical treatment.
RC Onabe further revealed that the crash was caused by speeding, according to eyewitness accounts.
“The tipper driver was on speed, rammed into the bus from behind; and the bus lost control, sulmasulted and crashed,” she explained.
She said no life was lost, and added that FRSC men from Awka Command were on ground, managing the traffic and ensuring that the crashed vehicles were removed.
“The Sector Commander, Anambra State Corps Commander, Adeoye Irelewuyi wishes the injured victims quick recovery. He warned motorist to desist from speed and imbibe a new driving culture this new year, to ensure safety of road users,” Onabe added.
Just recently a voice note went viral on social media platforms where an individual named Ugobuzo Aguleri allegedly made despicable and unprintable allegations about the Anambra State Police Commissioner CP Echeng Eworo Echeng and the Commander in charge of the State Criminal Investigation Department Annex at Awkuzu in the person of CSP Chukwuemeka Patrick Agbazue, where the duo had purportedly masterminded gruesome atrocities amounting to millions of naira in Anambra state.
The voice note released by Ugobuzo Aguleri alleged that CSP Patrick Agbazue is Emeka Ofor’s ‘boy’ and that he hails from Okija in Ihiala local government area of Anambra state. That Patrick Agbazue sells human parts at State CID Annex Awkuzu formerly known as SARs Awkuzu. Ugobuzo Aguleri further alleged that one OC legal at Awkuzu State CID Annex called Obi was amongst those politicians used to terminate the lives of their political enemies in Anambra state. Another person Ugobuzo Aguleri mentioned in his voice note was one Barr. Ngesine, whom he said was behind the crisis and killings in Nteje and Awkuzu Oyi local government area.
The voice note also alleged that Barr. Ngesine gave CSP Patrick Agbazue the sum of N5 Million and another N15 Million after three months or thereabouts. He accused CSP Patrick Agbazue of being responsible for all the kidnappings and abductions in Anambra state and that the Commissioner of Police CP Echeng Echeng is aware of the atrocities because Ugobuzo Aguleri believes that Patrick Agbazue gives the CP his own share of the ransom from their captives.
Ugobuzo Aguleri in the voice note alleged that CSP Patrick Agbazue and other operatives of State CID Awkuzu traded on human parts which according to him was the reason they don’t release corpses of deceased inmates instead they say the bodies belong to government.
According to the voice note, Awkuzu State CID Annex should be burnt down because he believes Patrick Agbazue is working for the Fulanis and allegedly killing Igbo youths. Ugobuzo Aguleri claimed that CP Echeng Echeng and the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu Anthony are aware of the atrocities because Patrick Agbazue is the alleged hitman. That they declare Sit-At-Home and kidnap rich men together with other unspeakable atrocities.
Having destroyed and tarnished the reputations of these senior police officers of the Anambra State Police Command in the voice note that went viral on the social media, Ugobuzo Aguleri in another voice note pleaded for pardon, saying that all the rubbish he vomited in the voice note were all lies and has no atom of truth because he was not properly informed about the workings and modus operandi of Awkuzu State CID Annex.
Ugobuzo Aguleri confessed to having been bribed and sponsored with the sum of N10,000 to concoct lies against CP Echeng Echeng, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu Anthony and CSP Chukwuemeka Patrick Agbazue even though he didn’t disclose the source of the said N10,000 in the video evidence.
Ugobuzo Aguleri in the voice note where he pleaded for pardon said, ” Today being 27th of January, 2023, I Ugobuzo Aguleri have made further investigations and found out that all I said about CSP Patrick Agbazue, the Commissioner of Police CP Echeng Echeng and DSP Ikenga Tochukwu Anthony were all lies. The person who brought the information to me was not accurate.
Patrick Agbazue and OC legal Obi are innocent of all the allegations I levelled against them. Please the general public should not take those allegations serious. They are all lies ! ”
Ugobuzo Aguleri in a video clip also confessed that he was being sponsored by an Nteje indigene whom he said transferred the sum of N10,000 into his First Bank Account to destroy the image of the aforementioned senior police officers. The video clip also revealed that the said Ugobuzo Aguleri didn’t go to Awkuzu State CID Annex to verify as well as authenticate the information within his disposal instead he went viral on the social media to malign the Anambra state police command.
Further investigations carried out by our correspondent revealed that CSP Chukwuemeka Patrick Agbazue is not an indigene of Okija in Ihiala local government area and he has no connection nor relationship with the Oraifite-born billionaire business mogul called Emeka Ofor as claimed by Ugobuzo Aguleri in his voice notes.
In spite of the slander and character assassination done to CP Echeng Echeng, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu Anthony and CSP Chukwuemeka Patrick Agbazue by the dramatis personae who identified himself as Ugobuzo Aguleri, it is pertinent and of paramount importance to state that Awkuzu State Criminal Investigation Department Annex is not a slaughter house where human parts are sold as alleged by Ugobuzo Aguleri in his viral voice notes.
Meanwhile, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Anambra State Police Command, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu Anthony, when contacted by our correspondent to ascertain the position of the command on the voice notes made by Ugobuzo Aguleri, the PPRO told our correspondent that the suspect is in custody and that the matter is being investigated.
As the wave of revelation on those behind insecurity in Anambra State continues to blow, a social media user, Ugobuzo, has named CSP Patrick Agbazue as the person responsible for the various kidnapping operations carried out in different parts of Anambra State and beyond.

Ugobuzo made the revelation in a trending social media content, in which he also named one O.C. Legal Obi as Agbazue’s accomplices, with whom he perpetrates some of his operations.
This shocking revelation is coming barely three days after another social media user known as The Big Masquerade ‘Ijele’, released another shocking revelation on some of the people behind the killings in Anambra State, in which he fingered some top Anambra politicians, and highlighted some of the operations they have masterminded, to include the gruesome murder of Dr. Chike Akunyili and the owner of Udala FC, Chief Philip Chinonso Udala, among others.

According to Ugobuzo, in his own revelation, CSP Agbazue, who hails from Okija in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State, but lives in Awka, also trades human body parts, some of which he sells to some top politicians in the state, who patronize or contract him most times when they need human parts. Recall that CSP Agbazue, popularly known as O.C. SARS was the Officer in Charge of the defunct Special Anti-Robbery Squad in Awkuzu (Awkuzu SARS) in Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State.
He revealed that CSP Agbazue, whom he described as Emeka Offor’s boy, usually works hand-in-hand with O.C. Obi, to kidnap and kill people for politicians.
Going further in the revelation, Ugobuzo challenged the people of Nteje community in Oyi Local Government Area, to hold one Barr. Ngesine, an indigene of the community, responsible and fearlessly ask him some questions about all the abduction and murder of some innocent indigenes of the community some time, by O/C SARS and his accomplices, in the name of security.
“Barr. Ngesine first gave Patrick Agbazue (O/C SARS) the sum of five million naira for that job. He also raised about additional fifteen million naira for him after two or three months, as a completion. And they also gave him land around the Anambra Airport, which he told them to sell. Ask him questions about this, let me see if he will lies. And if he says it is a lie, let him come and swear by the oracle,” Ugobuzo said.
While noting that CSP Agbazue is the person who gives directives on whom to kidnap, he also linked him to the kidnap of an indigene of Mbosi in Ihiala Local Government Area of the state who lived overseas, and was kidnapped and shot on the leg while he was returning to his hometown; after which a huge sum of money was transferred from his account.
He said Governor Chukwuma Soludo and the State Commissioner of Police, CP Echeng Echeng was aware of that and can also attest to it. He also alleged that the gang usually pays commission to Police Commissioner and his boys. He also dares anyone who denies the revelation to trace him to his hometown in Aguleri, Anambra East Local Government Area, to swear before the oracle.
Ugobuzo also revealed how CSP Agbazue ploted to murder a top Anambra politician, Hon. Chinedu Obidigwe, who is the member represen representing Anambra East and West Federal Constituency. He said the immediate past Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano and his wife were also in the picture of those to be murdered by Agbazue and his gang. He also pledged to make more information available on his social media handle, Ugobuzo, upon request.
This reporter made efforts to confirm the authenticity of this revelation. However, while some top security officials in the south east debunked it as untrue, other said there is element of truth in it, but was exaggerated.

Mr Bayo Onanuga, Director, Media and Publicity, APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), in a statement issued Monday night, said contrary to the speculations, Buhari was warmly received in the state.
Onanuga while describing the alleged attack on Buhari as ‘fake news’ from a political party that had lost touch with reality, said Nigerians should disregard it.
He added that the so-called attack on Buhari must have happened only in the mind of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s National Publicity Secretary.
“We are not surprised to read of the imaginary attack on the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria being peddled by the PDP since the party has nothing tangible to tell Nigerians from its crumbling presidential campaign.
“This so-called attack on President Buhari must have happened only in the fertile imagination of PDP National Publicity Secretary.
“Nigerians should disregard this fake news from a party that has lost touch with reality.
“President Buhari was warmly received in Kano State by the good people and government of the state where he commissioned eight hugely impactful projects,” Onanuga said.
The APC PCC Director of Media and Publicity listed the projects inaugurated by the president while in Kano State to include overhead bridge with underpass and a cancer centre, among others.
He recalled that the APC PCC had earlier alerted the nation to the plot by PDP to orchestrate and execute many evil plans to defame, ridicule and delegitimise Buhari and Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the APC Presidential Candidate.
He added that Nigerians of goodwill would have seen by now that the PCC did not raise false alarm in its statement issued on Sunday, Jan. 29, where it detailed the alleged evil machinations of PDP and their hirelings.
“Only the evil mind of PDP could conceive an attack on a President of Nigeria.
“It is not impossible that PDP through its paid agents would organise miscreants to stage manage an attack.
“But, we are sure the security agencies are capable of foiling any planned attack on the president and anyone who is caught in such unholy plot now or in the future will have himself or herself to blame.

According to eyewitness account, the rally was peaceful and normal until the APC gubernatorial began to make utterances which the youths at the rally found offensive and/or disagreed with. It led to quick exhibition of rejection from the crowd. The chants of “Bamayi” began to rent the air. The chants which began in low decibels slowly grew to louder and became disruptive.
Reacting, the security agents attached to the APC gubernatorial candidate began positioning themselves in a different posture that seems more aggressive. Suddenly, the gun shots began. The security agents began shooting into the crowd. The flying bullets struck two persons in the crowd. Two-persons sustained potentially fatal injuries. The rally ended abruptly and APC gubernatorial candidate let the rally abandoning the injured.
The injured victims were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The cost of the treatment was paid by volunteers and sympathizers of the victims.

Despite the lingering allegations of corruption and abuse of office hanging on his neck, Air Marshal Sadeeq Baba Abubakar is now so desperate to govern Bauchi State 2023 on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC) while his wife, one Sadiya Umar Farouk, supposedly a federal minister representing Zamfara State in the federal executive council is too much in love to be addressed as Bauchi State First Lady which has necessitated her to shift base to Bauchi State, allegedly misusing public funds at the disposal of her ministry to oil the campaign machinery of her drowning husband.
Although it is Sadeeq’s right to aspire to any elective position of his choice pending the outcome of the court case, the most disturbing question begging for answer borders on the local government he hails from in Bauchi State and definitely not the Giade he loves to claim.
The embattled former Chief of Air Staff joined the services of the Nigerian Air force as a resident of Bauchi and an indigene of Bauchi local government after the return of his biological father to Nigeria from Cameroun where he served in the colonial government. In the political space, he is identified as an indigene of Bauchi local government but has of late, started claimed the indigeneship of Giade local government in Bauchi North senatorial zone where he is relatively unknown. On return to Nigeria in December 2020, Group Captain Ahmed Musa approached the Federal High Court for the enforcement of his fundamental right to liberty and fair hearing seeking to restrain further infringements on his rights in view of the actions of the now sacked Chiefs of Air Staff and Defence Intelligence whom he could not openly challenge while in service.
Anambra State Government has reminded the Managers of the various parks across the state of the need to pay up their fees and arrears to the government as they are expected to do periodically.

This reminder was contained in a final Letter of Reminder issues to the managers of the parks by the Anambra State Internal Revenue Service (AIRS), duly signed by the Chairman/Chief Executive of the Service, Richard Madiebo, and made available to the newsmen by the Head of Tax Education and Enlightenment Team (TEET), Sylvia Tochukwu-Ngige.
According to the letter, dated January 30, 2023, the park managers have until February 6, 2023 to clear all their arrears and monthly fee and also submit their evidence of payment, to avoid having their facilities sealed up.
“Kindly liaise with Mr. Ebuka of the Anambra State Internal Revenue Service (AIRS) on 08130308818 and Mr. Chris of the Ministry of Transport on 07080150476 to submit evidence of your payment on or before February 6, 2023,” the letter partly read.
