ABUJA, NIGERIA — Prominent social media commentator and investigative voice, D English Alhaji, has pushed back against targeted attacks on his character following his recent public commentary exposing individuals allegedly enabling banditry and violence across the country.
In a statement released on Saturday, D English Alhaji addressed the sudden wave of personal attacks and allegations directed at him, describing them as deliberate attempts by interested parties to distract from accountability and shift focus away from high-level complicity in Nigeria’s security crisis.
He noted that after spending days raising critical questions regarding those financing violence and demanding justice for victims, critics chose to attack his personality rather than respond to the substantive evidence and issues raised. He emphasized that the attempts to intimidate and discredit him would not silence the demand for answers regarding the true sponsors of banditry.
Reaffirming his commitment to the safety of citizens and the pursuit of truth, he stated that the public is fully capable of discerning between genuine facts and coordinated smear campaigns. He maintained that despite the ongoing attacks, the core questions regarding banditry and political collusion remain completely unanswered.
