ABUJA — Legal scholar and human rights activist, Professor Chidi Anselm Odinkalu, has issued a scathing critique regarding the background, nationality, and academic credentials of the President, alleging deep-seated opacity surrounding his origins and personal record.
Speaking on issues of public accountability and leadership vetting, the outspoken academic questioned the transparency of the nation’s highest office, asserting that basic historical details regarding the President’s identity remain unverified.
“We have a President whose nationality we do not know because he carries a Guinean diplomatic passport,” Odinkalu stated. “Whose genealogy we do not know, and we now understand President Buhari thought the same thing too. Whose Primary School we do not know…”
The remarks highlight lingering public debate and controversy surrounding official documentation, diplomatic passports, and academic records presented during electoral screenings.
Odinkalu argued that when foundational questions regarding a leader’s background, early education, and lineage remain shrouded in doubt, it undermines institutional trust and civic confidence. He emphasized that citizens deserve absolute clarity and verifiable records regarding those entrusted with national executive power.
