As the November 8, 2025, Anambra Governorship Election draws closer, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has called on Ndi Anambra to rally behind its candidate, Prince Nicholas Chukwujekwu Ukachukwu, MFR.

The party made the call in a statement issued in Awka on Sunday, September 21, 2025, by an APC chieftain in the state and Team Leader of APC Digital Force, Pharm. Ikeagwuonwu Chinedu Klinsmann (Ohamadike Dunukofia).

According to the statement, Soludo’s administration, which began on March 17, 2022, amid lofty promises of transforming Anambra into a “Dubai-Taiwan” model of economic vibrancy and technological advancement, has instead descended into serial incompetence, propaganda, betrayal, and failed promises.

Pharm. Ikeagwuonwu accused the governor of running an administration characterized by policy somersaults, mismanagement of resources, and a widening disconnect from the grassroots. Citing sector-by-sector instances, the APC chieftain claimed that the performance of the incumbent administration is far below expectation.

On education, the APC stalwart lamented what he called an “unforgivable collapse,” claiming that “while Anambra previously ranked 1st in WAEC for three consecutive years under past administrations, the state has now plunged to 33rd out of 36 states in the latest National Education Index.” He attributed the shocking decline to Soludo’s underperformance, citing reports of irregular promotions, delayed salaries, and rising teacher absenteeism despite claims of recruiting 10,000 teachers.

He further pointed out that dropout rates have surged by 25% in rural areas, while UNESCO statistics confirmed that over 2 million Anambra youths now face an uncertain future.

On security, the APC Digital Force described Soludo as “grossly inept,” accusing him of reducing governance to political rhetoric and excuses. The statement referenced independent reports indicating that in 2024 alone, the state recorded over 150 high-profile kidnappings, a 300% spike compared to 2021. It also noted that Soludo’s much-touted “Operation Udoka” had fizzled out, while vigilante groups were allegedly politicized instead of being empowered to fight crime.

The statement further criticized the governor’s urban renewal projects, accusing him of demolishing markets and displacing traders without adequate relocation plans, while sparing criminal hideouts.

On the economy, the APC claimed that Soludo’s promises of industrialization and job creation has not been realized, citing National Bureau of Statistics figures that placed Anambra’s GDP growth at 2.1% in 2024, below the national average, with unemployment at 28%. “The so-called Dubai-Taiwan mirage has turned into pothole-ridden roads, abandoned projects, and empty propaganda,” the statement read.

On health, the APC described Soludo’s claims of free child delivery and healthcare reform as “media stunts.” It cited the 2025 WHO Report, which indicated a 15% rise in maternal mortality in Anambra due to poorly equipped hospitals and dysfunctional digital health systems.

Pharm. Ikeagwuonwu said it would be suicidal for Ndi Anambra to re-elect Soludo, arguing that his administration had become a burden on the state and a threat to its progress.

Presenting Prince Nicholas Chukwujekwu Ukachukwu, MFR, as the credible alternative, the APC chieftain noted that he is a proven entrepreneur and philanthropist whose conglomerates in real estate, agribusiness, and manufacturing have created over 5,000 direct jobs. The party highlighted Ukachukwu’s track record of scholarships for over 2,000 indigent students annually, medical outreaches benefiting 50,000 citizens, and multi-million naira COVID-19 interventions as proof of his capacity to deliver.

He added that Ukachukwu’s manifesto offers bold solutions, including AI-driven agriculture, green energy hubs, blockchain-based governance, and massive youth and women empowerment with 50% of cabinet slots reserved for under-40s. He revealed that Ukachukwu also plans to revive Onitsha Main Market, create 100,000 new jobs through industrial parks, and partner with federal forces for intelligence-driven community policing.

“As an APC Governor, Ukachukwu will unlock federal allocations and make Anambra the true gateway of the Southeast,” Ikeagwuonwu stated, urging Ndi Anambra to vote wisely.

“Soludo’s incompetence has dimmed Anambra’s light. Prince Ukachukwu is the dawn of hope, the future, and the redemption Ndi Anambra deserve,” the statement concluded.
