The Ekiti Movement for Good Governance (EMGG) has accused the ousted former Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Dr Adewale Omirin of planning to invade the House of Assembly with over 100 armed thugs tomorrow (Monday).

EMGG said the armed thugs will arrive Ekiti from Lagos, Ibadan and Osogbo on Sunday night.

In a release issued on Sunday by the EMGG and signed by its Secretary, Dr Abiodun Aina, the group warned that any attempt by the All Progressives Congress (APC) lawmakers to throw the State into chaos will be resisted by whatever means.

It advised Omirin and his colleagues in the APC to embrace peace, adding that no political party will be allowed to hold the State down because it lost power.

The EMGG, which described the APC planned invasion of the House as a declaration of war against Ekiti people, added that; “The people installed Ayodele Fayose as their governor and they are ready to defend this government, even with their blood.

“Omirin and his co-travelers in the APC should therefore know that even if they bring their party’s militant wing, the Boko Haram to Ekiti, they won’t succeed in their plans to truncate Fayose’s government.

“This is because Ayodele Fayose’s governorship in Ekiti is an idea whose time has come, all the armies in this world with all the modern weaponry cannot stop it.”
