There is a revolution in the State in terms of infrastructure- health, education, housing and agriculture, most of which have been completed and commissioned.
The realization of an ultra-modern secretariat complex at Umuahia, the State capital, is an indication of His Excellency, Governor Theodore Orji’s plans to uplift the image of Abia State and its people.  Abia State can now brag of a befitting secretariat for its civil servants-fully air-conditioned and equipped with modern office gadgets.
Governor Orji unlike other Governors met dilapidated or non existing infrastructures in Abia State. Clearly, since the creation of Abia State, the previous governments obviously didn’t consider it wise to build foundation that will enhance socio-economic development in the State.
Previous Governments didn’t make any attempt at constructing secretariat complexes as Abia workers are scattered all over in make shifts or rented flats around Umuahia.
However, Governor Orji having felt the pains of operating from a makeshift office as a civil servant in Abia State and knowing the negative implications, embarked on a mission to build a two edifice Abia State worker’s secretariat and in addition, rehabilitating the old federal secretariat.
It is pertinent to state that here the new secretariat complex buildings by the present administration in the State are the first public buildings with elevator systems and disable access.
The buildings are not just new but modern. The new Abia State workers secretariat twin complex is just one out of the Governor’s legacy projects in Abia State.
There are many other people’s orientated projects embarked upon by the Governor like the New Government House, the e-library, Judiciary Complex, the new Industrial and allied timber market, new Umuahia main market, the dialysis centre Umuahia, new specialist and diagnostic centre, Umuahia and Aba.
About 250 functioning primary health care centres, eighteen-100 beds general hospitals, new Broadcasting Corporation of Abia State complex and 6 new court rooms  at the High Court in Umuahia as well as new High court in Aba.
Also recently, the Governor, unveiled an ultra modern office complex for the State Broadcasting Corporation (BCA), which is expected to enhance staff productivity.
Meanwhile, work has commenced at the Abia Event Centre, located at the centre of Umuahia, which is expected to boost the image of the city.
The edifice, sited at the old Umuahia main market, will house a zoological garden, modern recreation parks, highbrow buildings, offices and several modern day paraphernalia that give any modern city an aesthetic outlook.
Governor Orji has determinedly decided to change the face of Umuahia forever and make this town join the league of other modern towns in Nigeria.
The governor has done so well especially in making sure that he delivers the dividends of democracy which he promised to Abians.
Recall that the Governor’s first term in office, was characterized by legal tussles and some pressures from those who consider themselves as owners of the state, but thank God today, that he has been able to offload the pressure and today we can make bold to say that the Governor has done well in this second term movement, which started from May 29, 2011.
Right now, there are a lot of things on ground to show that he has made positive impact in all fronts.
For instance, the Governor has made special impact in the health sector. Today we have ultra modern diagnostic centres in Aba and Umuahia. Consequently people can now carry out health investigations locally instead of travelling to Lagos of overseas for such checks.
So, it is one of the best things that has happened in the State and beyond, because right now other people are coming from neighbouring States to access the services of the diagnostic centres, managed by MECURE.
In addition to that, we have about 250 health centres established across the 17 Local Government Areas of the State.
The Governor has done so much, because he believes that good health at the grassroots level is very important, as it is not everybody that can access the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Umuahia or other good private hospitals in the area.
All the 17 Local Government Areas of the State have functional health centres, and through the health centres and the State Action Committee on the Control of Aids (SACA), the State Government has continued to sensitized people on the dangers of HIV/AIDS.
Speaker of House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal , in his recent visit to the State,  commended Governor Theodore Orji  for the massive infrastructural transformation in the state.
Tambuwal, who was given an opportunity to commission the new ultra- modern office complex for the Abia State Environmental Protection Agency (ASEPA) , one the Legacy Projects of the present administration in the State, explained that the delivery of democracy dividends through hard work has endeared him to the people of the State.
Tambuwal also observed that Governor Orji had by his numerous people- oriented projects added value to the lives of Abians and enhanced the fortunes of the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) on whose platform he holds sway in future elections in the State.
