The peaceful Protest embarked by pro-Al-Makura women turned near violent today as security agents refused the demonstrating women access to the Assembly complex.

The protest in support of Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura turned rowdy as a result of the refusal of security operatives and private guard to allow the women entrance into the Assembly. 247ureports.com gathered that the security officers were acting based on directive not to allow the protesting women into the complex. It was not clear who gave the directive.

Despite the intervention of two members of the Assembly, Tanko Tunga representing Awe North and Othman Adam representing Keffi west the security turn deaf ears. This caused the women and few other APC thugs to break into the complex in the presence of security agent.

The supporters in their hundreds stormed into the Assembly complex chanting “We no go gree

Our lawmakers are powerless to impeach Al-Makura” said Honorable Uthman Adam,aA member representing Keffi constituency, who addressed the crowd and commended the visit of the supporters of APC.

The APC lawmaker called on their followers to eschew violence at all times. He described the ongoing development as a bad omen to the state – stating that the ruling party under Al-Makura has brought-in positive progress in the area of building of good road network, construction of model schools.

He further stated that it was during the incumbent regime that primary and secondary education became free, “Parents don’t you want the free primary and secondary education to prosper?” asked the lawmaker – of which the women responded in affirmation “carry go” “4+4=8”

Honorable Tanko Tunga in his reaction expressed concerned over the way and manner the Assembly complex was shut down by the security operatives.

When asked whether they informed the commissioner of police about the sealing of the complex, – the lawmaker said he was not aware. He added “Imagine I was elected like any other member into this complex but we were not allowed to address our supporters as it happen yesterday when the information minister, Labaran Maku, Akwe Doma, Solomon Ewuga amongst others were given a rosy welcome into the Assembly ,Why was APC rally is exception?”
