TEHRAN — The Iranian government under Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has instituted a sweeping reorganization of its military command structure, shifting from a defense-focused posture to an “offensive doctrine” aimed at prolonging war with the United States until President Donald Trump leaves office in 2029.

According to reports citing senior Iranian officials and military leadership, top hardline figures have been appointed across key Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and national security positions to execute the strategic overhaul.

Gen. Mohammad Reza Naqdi, a senior adviser to the IRGC commander, confirmed that Tehran has recalibrated its military doctrine to wage a sustained war of attrition designed to outlast the current American administration.

“Whenever the conditions are favorable and the order is issued, we must be able to take the operation into enemy territory,” Naqdi stated. He emphasized that Iran intends to drag out the conflict until 2029 to ensure that any foreign adversary attempting to launch attacks against the nation understands there is a long-term cost.

Naqdi added that Iran maintains high production rates of ballistic missiles and sufficient underground launching facilities to sustain offensive operations indefinitely.

The military reorganization comes amidst high-stakes standoff maneuvers across the Strait of Hormuz and broader Middle Eastern corridors. While Washington maintains that the United States continues to exert decisive military leverage in the region, Iranian leadership is positioning its armed forces for an extended multi-year struggle centered on economic and military attrition.

With diplomatic efforts facing persistent friction, analysts view Tehran’s strategic shift as a deliberate attempt to signal that Iran is prepared to maintain a aggressive, offensive military stance throughout the entirety of Trump’s presidential term.
