The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has placed on public exhibition what it identifies as the wreckage of a United States Air Force F-15E Strike Eagle fighter jet, alongside downed U.S. and Israeli unmanned aerial vehicles.
The military showcase in Tehran featured recovered fragments of the F-15E—including sections of the aircraft’s cockpit and an ejection seat—which Iranian defense officials claim was brought down by air defense systems.
In addition to the manned jet debris, the exhibition showcased the wreckage of a U.S. MQ-9 Reaper reconnaissance drone and an Israeli Hermes 900 unmanned aircraft, both of which Tehran claims were intercepted and downed during recent regional engagements.
Iranian military leadership framed the exhibition as a direct demonstration of the country’s anti-aircraft capabilities, issuing warnings that further wreckage will be added to the public display if defensive perimeter violations continue.
Security analysts view the high-visibility exhibition as a strategic messaging effort by Iran to project air defense effectiveness against both American and Israeli military aviation assets amid heightened regional hostilities.
