APM Guber candidate donates ₦21m to Bara flood victims, Shira windstorm victims

The Bauchi State governorship candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in Bauchi State, Dr. Yakubu Adamu, has donated the sum of ₦21 million to support victims of the flood disaster in Bara community Kirfi Local Government Area and windstorm victims in Shira Local Government Area of the state.

Adamu made the donation when he paid a separate visits to the affected communities, where he expressed his sympathy and solidarity with residents who suffered losses as a result of the two natural disasters.

at the Bara Community in Kirfi Local Government Area where the flood was, triggered by a torrential downpour from east down to the town claimed the lives of a grandmother, Aishatu Sagir, and her granddaughter, Rahama Sagir.
The flood destroyed over 360 houses several walls, farmlands, killed livestock, and left hundreds of residents displaced sleeping inside mosques and schools.

During a sympathy visit to the affected communities, Yakubu Adamu described the tragic deaths of the two family members of the community as heartbreaking and announced a donation of ₦10,000,000 to the victims and ₦1,000,000 to the bereaved families where two people died.
He prayed to Allah to ease their sufferings and reward their faith and patience and forgive the deceased victims. District Head of Bara Alhaji Muhammad Abdullahi Bara, expressed gratitude to the APM gubernatorial candidate on behalf of the community. He explained that his timely intervention would alleviate the suffering of the families affected by the economic and physical losses. Residents of Bara praised Yakubu Adamu for the the visit, described his prompt response as a demonstration of compassionate, responsible, and proactive leadership during an emergency"

In Shira Local Government Area,  APM Governorship Candidate, Dr. Yakubu Adamu, donated ₦10 ,000,000 million relief intervention to support families affected by the heavy windstorm that destroyed homes and properties in the area.

The gesture is targeted at affected communities including Dango, Disina, and Zubo, where many families were left in distress after the disaster caused severe damage to their shelters and means of livelihood.

Dr. Yakubu Adamu, expressed  shocked and explained that he shared the pains of the affected communities and asked them to take it as a destiny from Allah.

Adamu explained that leadership is not only about words but about showing genuine concern, taking action, and responding to the needs of the people when they need it most.

He said that natural disasters such as windstorms and floods can leave lasting hardship on communities, and called for collective responsibility among leaders, organizations, and individuals to support the victims to ease their sufferings.

Adamu assured the affected families that they were not alone, and explained that the financial assistance was aimed at providing urgent relief and helping victims begin the process of recovery from the destruction caused by the windstorm.

He called on relevant authorities, organisations and well-meaning individuals to extend support to victims of natural disasters, noting that collective efforts are essential in rebuilding affected communities.

Residents of the affected communities appreciated the gesture, described it as timely and a sign of compassion towards people facing hardship.

They described it as a demonstration of kindness, empathy, and responsible leadership,and assured that the assistance would go a long way in easing their suffering and helping them restore their homes and lives.
