Ekwunife who disclosed this at the rally organized by Tinubu Support Group ( TSG) in Awka Capital she noted that since the inception of Tinubu administration the South East geopolitical zone has benefitted emmencly in the area of massive infrastructural development hence the need for his reelection.
According to Ekwunife, the scale of participation from Anambra, Abia, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo states underscored the level of coordination behind the gathering.
“Today is a very special day. It is a day we have gathered to endorse and appreciate God in view of the victory awaiting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, by January 2027,” she said.
Ekwunife lauded the leadership qualities of Chairman of the All Progressives Congress ( APC) Sen Emma Anosike who was represented by the Deputy Chairman Chief J,C Okeke and the Convener of the rally Sir Paul Chukwuma as well Chief Kene Enefe for the successful hosting of the rally.
“We cannot appreciate Sir Paul Chukwuma enough for mobilising the number of women and youths like we haven’t seen politically in recent times. This is the first time someone who is not running for any political office would deploy his energy and resources to mobilise massively for the interest of his party, the All Progressives Congress,” she stated.
The senator added that the mobilisation reflected Sir Chukwuma’s commitment to the party, which she attributed partly to his appreciation of the Tinubu administration’s achievements.
Ekwunife also stressed the importance of communicating government policies and programmes to Nigerians, noting that political support should be informed by the administration’s record and the impact of its initiatives on citizens.
“Obviously, when you want to sell a product, you must convince prospective buyers regarding the value of your product. Today, we want Nigerians to return President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, on account of his lofty achievements,” she said.
Highlighting some of the programmes of the Federal Government, Ekwunife pointed to improvements in the payment of civil servants’ salaries and the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), which provides eligible students with access to financial assistance for their education.
The senator’s remarks focused on the need to publicise government interventions and explain their intended benefits to citizens, particularly in education, social protection and workers’ welfare.
