Disrespect (after wife started making more money than them) was the reason all of them gave for the killings.
These are all real/true life events.
1. 50 years old David Ochola killed 28 years old Priscilla Ochola. “I am tired of her disrespect. She leaves the house without telling me where she is going and comes back anytime she likes. Yes, I shot her and killed her”; were his words. He brought her to the USA and made her a nurse.
2. In Texas, 48 years old Babajide Okeowo killed 46 years old Funke Okeowo. After divorce, he lost his house and everything inside. He brought her to the USA and made her a nurse.
3. In Dallas, Moses Egharevba, 45, did not even bother to get a gun. He bludgeoned his 35 years old wife, Grace Egharevba to death with a sledge hammer while their 7 years old daughter watched and screamed for peace. He brought her to the USA and made her a nurse. Though we heard he was very stingy.
4. Christopher Ndubuisi of Garland, Texas, (these Texas people!) also did not bother to get a gun. He crept into the bedroom where his wife, Christiana, was sleeping and, with several blows of the sledge hammer, crushed her head. Two years before Christiana was killed, her mother, who had been visiting from Nigeria, was found dead in the bathtub under circumstances believed to be suspicious. Christiana was a nurse whose income dwarfed that of her husband.
5. Godfrey Nwodo shot his wife Agnes Nwodo, his mother-in-law and himself. All three dead! Godfrey married Agnes who was from an extremely poor family, brought her to the USA and made her a nurse. She started disrespecting him after earning more. Each time they had an argument, the police forced Godfrey to leave the house whether he had a place to sleep or not. On many occasions, Mr. Nwodo spent days in police cells. After divorce, Nwodo lost his house (a property he bought 20 years before marrying Agnes). He also lost custody of their three children, with the court awarding him only periodic visitation rights. Even seeing the children during visitation was always a hassle as the wife would “arrive late to the neutral meeting place and leave early with impunity.” Mr. Nwodo endured so many embarrassing moments from his wife and her mother until he could take it no more. One day, he bought himself a shotgun and killed his wife, wife’s mother and himself.
6. Caleb Onwudike killed his 36 years old wife, Chinyere Onwudike (from Umuahia). Mr. Onwudike, 41, worked two jobs to send his wife to a nursing school upon bringing her to the USA from Nigeria. After much disrespect, one day, he got one of her kitchen knives and carved her up like Thanksgiving turkey inside their home on a New Year’s Day.
7. Joseph Mbu, 50, was tired of his nurse wife’s “serial disrespect” of him. When Joseph Mbu could not take it anymore, he subdued his wife one day, tied her to his vehicle and dragged her on paved roads all around Los Angeles until her head split in many pieces. This was the goriest of all the killings.
