Gov. Umahi re-designates Commissioner, aide in minor cabinet reshuffle

Gov Dave Umahi of Ebonyi has redesignated Mr Eze Nwachukwu, Commissioner for Markets and Parks Development to Ministry of Inter-Party Affairs in a minor cabinet reshuffle.

Umahi gave the approval for the re-designation of the commissioner in a statement issued in Abakaliki on Saturday by Dr Kenneth Ugbala, Secretary to State Government and made available to newsmen.

According to the statement, the is appointment is with immediate effect and urged Nwachukwu to handover all property and documents of his former ministry to office of the SSG.

“His Excellency, the governor of Ebonyi, Chief Dave Umahi, has approved the re-designation of Mr Eze Nwachukwu as Commissioner for Inter-Party Affairs from the present Ministry of Market and Parks Development.

“Consequently, Nwachukwu is directed to handover his former office of Market and Parks Development to the Secretary to the State Government and Coordinating Commissioner before the close of work on Monday, Feb. 21, ” the statement read.

The governor has also approved the redesignation of Dr Ngozi Obichukwu from the present position of Special Assistant (SA) on Social Development Goals (SDGs) to Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the governor on SDGs and Market Development.

Ugbala, while congratulating the aide for the elevation said that the re-designation is with effect from Feb. 18 .
