One year old baby and two wives of the slain Bauchi Assembly lawmaker, Musa Mante Baraza have been released by their captors after four days in captivity.
Police Public Relations Oficer DSP Ahmad Muhammad Wakil confirmed the released of the abducted family of the slain law maker, He said Police rescued the abducted person and unhurt and they are undergoing going medical check up at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital, Bauchi and pledged to give details on how they were released.
Similarly The chief of staff to the Bauchi State governor, Dr Ladan Salihu also announced their release in a tweet, He said “Alhamdulillah! The Wives of Hon Musa Baraza, Bauchi House Member murdered 4 days ago in Dass have regained freedom.
The one-year-old baby was abducted along with them is also released. Gov Bala Mohammed has directed doctors and security to give them adequate care and attention.”
Musa Mante was killed by suspected gunmen on Thursday night at his residence in Dass after the gunmen, suspected to be armed robbers invaded his house.
His wives Rashida Musa Mante (40), Rahina Musa Mante (35) and a daughter Fausar Musa Mante (1year) were taken away while four empty shells of life ammunition were recovered at the scene by the police.
