How Security Saved Buhari, Dangote From Embarrassment In Kano
–
247ureports.com reports that security agencies last Friday averted what could have been a biggest embarrassment to the richest man in Africa, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, when they tactically dislodged hundreds of people believed to be members of the Kwankwasiyya movement, loyal to the political course of the immediate-past Governor of Kano state, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
Allaji Dangote’s daughter, Fatimah, tied the nuptial nut with Jamil, first son of ex-Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Dahiru Abubakar, at Emir Muhammadu Sanusi 11 Palace, in an elaborate ceremony that attracted people from All Walks of Life to the ancient commercial city of Kano.
An immpeccable security source who confided in journalists, confirmed that the group had earlier converged at the Palace, chanting anti-President Muhammadu Buhari’s song, shortly before Buhari’s arrival.
“You know, two days to the wedding, some unpatriotic elements started spreading unfounded rumours that Boko Haram was planning to attack Kano.
” We discovered that all that moves was orchestrated to stop President Buhari from attending the wedding.
“Another plot was to give a damaging political colouration to the wedding, but we identitied the ochestrators and quietly dislodged them,” the source added.
