Much is not yet heard of a top Commissioner in Governor Martin Elechi’s cabinet who allegedly lost a whopping sum of $4million US dollars in a soak away pit.
It was gathered that the Commissioner who belongs to the strong cabals in Elechi’s government got more than he bargained when the $4 million dollars he wrapped in a black cellophane back and hid inside the soak away pit got immersed in excrete water and got spoilt.
However, the Commissioner name withheld who is also a kinsman to Governor Elechi is said to be recuperating in an undisclosed hospital after the shock he got when it became obvious he had lost the money.
Trouble was said to have started when the local laborers and plumbers recruited by the Ikwo Commissioner to clear his soak away pit discovered the black cellophane bag hidden inside the pit and opened it only to see some remnant of the already soaked US Dollars and when they disclosed it to their master, he fainted.
Thank God for the prompt intervention of the plumbers who swung into action by pouring water on the Commissioner to revive him before his driver came and rushed him to the hospital.
As at the time of filling this report, the Commissioner was said to be unconscious, he merely identifies people including his family members and he could not talk but by demonstration.
Though the news had been broken to Governor Elechi, the messengers told the Governor that his kinsman fell sick without disclosing the cause of his sickness. Meanwhile efforts are on top gear to fly the Commissioner abroad for further treatment before he develops stroke.

Chai! I thought the whole of Ebonyi govt. did not have up to $1 million? Na waoh. If commissioner alone hide this amount in soak away pit, I suppose we need to educate our people what bank’s are for… unless of course it was meant to be hidden. Dirty money? ?
The man is a criminal who should be exposed and furnished. How can someone who ears legitimately put his money in a soak away pit?

Who must be this selfish commissioner? I think when he recovers he will repent of his evil lifestyle, ill gotten ill lost.and as poor as Ebonyi is somebody stole such a big amount of money and throw it away, God please! Rescuers us from all these dubious leaders I our country Nigeria. Amen.
