The former chairman chambers of commerce and industries of the old Kano state government and one time gubernatorial aspirant in Jigawa state under the platform of the action congress of Nigeria [ACN] – who is presently holds the position of the National president of Nigeria chambers of commerce and industries, Alhaji Badaru Abubakar Babura has challenged the federal government for proposing the national dialogue.

Babura charged that the President is trying to divide the country under the guise of a national dialogue. Badaru stated that organizing a national dialogue amounts to a waste of money and time. “It has no any meaning to Nigerians. Because we have the state and national assembly who are responsible of doing the national dialogue so what other national dialogue do we need?”

He explained that since “we have the national institutions that are responsible to discharge the duty to protect the interest of the nation and also to do justice to the people of the nation the organizing of national dialogue is valueless”.

He added that the constitutional review currently ongoing at the national assembly was part of a national dialogue. Therefore, “I see no reason why the federal government should organized a national dialogue. I don’t believe in it because it is a waste of time and resources”.

The one time gubernatorial candidate also added that – in the area of 53rd independent anniversary of Nigeria – that Nigeria has achieved little. “People are tired”, he said while continuing to explain that the recent election of bye election in Jigawa rigged by the PDP government will not repeat itself in the general election of 2015 – because by that time everybody will be busy protecting their vote at their own constituency.

In 2015, “it will be a fight between the PDP and common man not even the between the APC and the PDP because that time common man will fight for his own right – it will be very difficult to rig the election because people are tired with their system of government”.

He challenged the administration of Governor Sule Lamido for his inability to provide job opportunities to teaming populace in the state. “People are crying due to lack of job opportunities and poor condition of health despite construction of new health facilities and distribution of drugs to hospitals in the state”.
