Police have confirmed the explosion in Lagos which it said was the fallout of a feud between sand dealers in Lagos. The late Oladele Pius, who was the chairman of the sand dredgers association was handed a letter which contained a bomb and exploded as he opened it killing him instantly.
A bomb explosion has killed one person in Lagos State. The bomb exploded under the popular Festac Bridge off Oshodi-Apapa Expressway.
The explosion which occurred Monday morning killed one Oladele Pius, a sand dealer, who was around his office at the time the incident occurred.
A policeman who was said to be on a visit to the deceased was severely injured.
As at the time of filing this report, the Police Bomb Squad had cordoned off the area.
