KAURA NAMODA / GUSAU — Troops deployed under Sector 2 of Operation FANSAN YAMMA at the Forward Operating Base (FOB) in Kasuwan Daji, Kaura Namoda Local Government Area of Zamfara State, have thwarted a massive assault by heavily armed terrorists attempting to infiltrate the military location.
The intense firefight, which occurred following a surprise night-time incursion attempt, resulted in significant casualties among the invading terrorists, while claiming the lives of two brave security personnel—a Nigerian Army soldier and a Mobile Police (MOPOL) officer—who paid the ultimate price while holding the defense line.

- Infiltration Attempt: The terrorists, advancing in large numbers on foot and motorcycles with high-caliber weaponry, attempted to breach the defensive perimeter of the Forward Operating Base at Kasuwan Daji.
