ABUJA, Nigeria — The lawmaker representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has reacted to an open letter posted on social media by an unemployed constituent and party supporter, Siyaka Abdullazeez.
The public appeal, which quickly went viral across Facebook and X, detailed Abdullazeez’s history as a party agent, his survival of a kidnapping incident during his National Youth Service Corps year in 2022, and his ongoing struggles to secure employment despite holding a Biochemistry degree from Bayero University Kano.
In his open message, Abdullazeez expressed willingness to accept any assistance, including a commercial tricycle empowerment scheme, to enable him to care for his family following the passing of his mother.
Following the online traction generated by the emotional appeal, Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan responded directly to the post, instructing the graduate to immediately submit his curriculum vitae for review and potential placement assistance.
