OGBOMOSO, OYO STATE — Heavily armed gunmen launched a daring, nighttime raid on the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) command office in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, overpowering officers on duty and carting away an unconfirmed number of service rifles. The attack took place around 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday along the Ogbomoso–Ilorin Motorway. The assailants surprised guards, disarming personnel and stealing weapons before fleeing the scene.
