A mother of four arrested in Anambra State for drug-related offences has assured to desist from the illegal activities if provided with job that can sustain her and her family.
The suspect, identified as Ifeoma Omonyi, made the promise while being interrogated shortly after her arrest at Umueri by the operatives of Agụnechemba security outfit, popularly known as Operation Udo Ga-Achi.
According to the suspect who confessed to be selling and smoking had drugs, especially methamphetamine (popularly known as Mkpụrụmmiri), it was someone who led her into drug business, on which she has relied since for survival.
This was corroborated by the video of the interview currently trending on social media, showing Omonyi and some other suspects arrested alongside with her, for drug and other related offences.
It was further gathered that Omonyi, who is the only female suspect among the gang, has a child who is above years of age, making people to wonder why a parent who has a child of such age should indulge in such heinous crime as drug trafficking and abuse.
She, however, vowed never to indulge in such crime again if forgiven and provided with a sustaining job.
