Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Alia has called on the Muslim faithfuls to always support and pray for the All Progressive Congress (APC)-led government in the country, as well as engage in dialogues and conversations aimed at promoting the unity and growth of the state and country.
Governor Alia gave the advice in his special message and felicitation to the Muslim on the occasion of this year’s Id el Maulud, being a day significant day for its commemoration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad.
The Governor, in the message issued on Sunday through his Press Secretary, Sir Tersoo Kula, charged all the Muslims to reflect on the principles of the Prophet’s life of kindness, compassion, and his role as a spiritual guide.
“He charges them to always engage in dialogues and conversations aimed at promoting the unity and growth of the state and country,” the statement partly read.
According to the statement, the Governor, while also soliciting for continued prayers and support for the APC-led government, further re-assured that his administration will continue to do everything possible to deliver on its campaign promises.
