From Chuks Collins, Awka
The governorship flagbearer of the Accord Party, Dr Godwin Maduka has assured citizens of Anambra state that in addition to all other projects he had outlined, he would establish a medical emergency response centres in each of the twenty one council areas of the state.
Speaking to a select number of journalists at his campaign headquarters in Awka yesterday, Dr Maduka emphasized that Accord Party is going to produce the next governor of Anambra state, come March 17, 2022.
He disclosed that sine he publicly indicated his interest in the governorship seat, his office has continued to play host to different groups of citizens, especially the downtrodden, the artisans and the neglected people in the society who placed implicit confidence in him.
According to him, it’s not hard to unravel why this cadres of the society share his vision; they have for so long been left with empty political promises by hungry money mongers.
“Am in the race not for my sake but for the benefit and uplifting of the downtrodden. I have demonstrated what am capable of doing. The evidences are on ground in my Umuchukwu community for all to see and appreciate.
I did all these with my personal hard earned money. So you can imagine what I will do with the revenue of the state. What I will do with the public fund will agitate the people to stone all these office holders who have been sitting on the commonwealth of the people without anything to show for it.
I want to replicate all that I have done at Umuchukwu, where I built schools, hospitals, international medical research centre, High Court, Magistrate Courts, Judges Quarters, Police station and other public institutions with my private savings.
With his 10-point agenda, Maduka said he will draw Medical tourism to Anambra, establish a non-residential university campuses in each Council area in order to make education very accessible and affordable to all. That he would ensure no child would pay school fees, build world class road network to link all villages in the 189 communities of the state.
That he would attract a functional seaport where our businessmen would be routing and clear their goods. No one would go to Lagos anymore. For electricity, he would establish solar power to propel industrialization. He listed his program to show his plans for every segment, class and gender. It was all-encompassing.
Dr Maduka believes that if the election is free, he would dust all comers.
