The Emir of Bichi, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero has charged parents in his Emirate and the state in general to reciprocate the government’s policy of Free and Compulsory Education by sending their children to Schools.
He said that parents must endeavor to encourage their in-school children to go to school and also enroll others within the school age.
The Emir was speaking during the presentation of take-up capital to 250 trained women on different trades by Kano North Development Forum in Bichi.
He noted that the policy of Free and compulsory education will facilitate immensely in enabling our children to acquire education from primary to secondary schools free of charge.
“Therefore we would not take it lightly with the parents who are not ready to support their children to go to school, as we must strive to have an educated and enlightened society” the Emir Stressed.
He further emphasized that measures are underway to trace and punish parents that refused their children to school.
While saluting the state government for it’s concern in seeing to the development of education, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero said that with sound Education a society can progress to any level of development.
