Part of Minna, the capital of Niger State may have come to a halt owing to a what appears a sudden youth protest. Information available to 247ureports.com indicates that a major access road to Suleja [Minna โ Suleja road] has been blocked by the protesting youths over the deplorable condition of the road and menace of articulated vehicles.
It was learnt that hundreds of motorists and residents are stranded on both sides of the road while queues have reached almost two kilometers.
During the protest, some of the protesters dance to a song by hip hop singer Eedris Abdulkareem, in which he called the attention of the government to the plights of Nigerians.
Security operatives are seen trying to prevent break down of law and order.
The Minna-Suleja Road connects Niger State to Abuja and generally links the north-west region of the country to the Federal Capital Territory.
