Eze Igbo Of Abuja Suspended
Loading ...At the April meeting of the Central Body of Ohanaeze Ndigbo FCT Chapter held on Friday 4th of May, 2018. Amongst issues discussed was the indiscipline in some sections of the Igbo community in the FCT. Especially the EzeIgbo Dr.(Sir) Nwosu Ibe who has been causing disaffection amongst the Igbo in Abuja, through his illegal creation of units and coronation of persons with questionable character as Ochigbos in the illegally created units.
In the course of the meeting, a motion for the suspension of Eze Igbo Abuja was moved and duly seconded. It was followed by a voice vote which was an overwhelming affirmation. Hence in accordance to Article 9 (2) (a) (b) and (J) .
Dr. Nwosu Ibe (JP) (MON) stands suspended indefinitely as the Eze Igbo of Abuja for gross violations of the constitution of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Abuja.
Issues raised against the suspended Eze Igbo Include;
- Illegal creation of units in violation of article 9 (2) (i) of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo FCT Constitution.
- Illegal appointment and coronation of unit chiefs (Ochigbo) in violation of article 9 (2) (f) of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo FCT Constitution.
- Deliberate moves aimed at causing disaffection amongst Ndigbo in the FCT with his creation, promotion and sponsorship of an illegal group under the name of Igbo Community Association as against the Ohanaeze Constitutionally-recognized Igbo Community Assembly at the grassroots; article 9 (1) (a) of the Ohaneze Ndigbo FCT Constitution.
The issue of further punishment or otherwise against Dr, Nwosu Ibe will be discussed at the meeting of Ime-Obi which will be convened soon.
