Dignitaries yesterday thronged the Old Banquet Hall of the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja for the wedding reception of President Muhammadu Buhari’s daughter, Zahra.
Among them were the former Head of Interim National Government, Ernest Shonekan, Senate President Bukola Saraki, House of Representatives Speaker Yakubu Dogara, All Progressives Congress National Chairman John Odigie-Oyegun and APC National Leader Ahmed Bola Tinubu.
Governors in attendance included those of Edo, Kogi, Lagos, Kaduna, Katsina, Osun, Sokoto, Kebbi, Ogun, Plateau, Imo, Cross River, Jigawa and Benue States.
Members of the Federal Executive Council and other top government officials also attended the event which lasted about one-and-a-half hours.
Speaking to State House correspondents after the event, Tinubu congratulated Zahra and her husband, Ahmed Idimi, and wished them a happy married life.
