Following the threat by Igbo Wu Otu, to invade the Abia State Government House at Umuahia to sack Gov.Okezie Ikpeazu out of office, three groups affiliated to the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council has vowed to protect the facility from attack.

The groups; Igbo bu Igbo Youth Congress, South East Youth Consultative Forum and Coalition of Progressive Youths of Igbo land, in a release jointly signed by their leaders, Hon. Kobi Ndubuka, Miss Ibebu joy and Jude Okafor, respectively, said they are solidly behind Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu, to employ every legal means to reverse what they described as an anti-people judgment delivered by an Abuja High court.

“Our attention has been drawn to a threat by a faceless group which calls itself Igbo wu otu to invade Government House Umuahia and sack Gov.Okezie Ikpeazu. We warn the group and their sponsors that they will perish in this their evil trade as the three affiliate groups affiliated to Ohanaeze Ndigb Youth Council, will not sit by and watch Igbo wu otu to aggravate the tension in Abia. We warn the group to desist or face out wrath as we are determined to protect the Government House. They should give peace a chance and allow the court serve justice on the case. “

They called for the investigation of the Justice Okon Abang and INEC in view of the hasty issuance of the Certificate of return to Dr Uche Ogah by the electoral umpire, despite a notice of appeal and motion for stay of execution filed by the governor.

They lauded Dr Ikpeazu for the manner he had conducted himself since that anti-democratic ruling and believe the Appeal Court will do justice at the appropriate time.

The groups, who called on Abia people to remain calm as justice will be served on the matter, commended the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth for their stand on the issue and urged Ndigbo not to keep silent on any time injustice done to one of their own.

They noted that Ikpeazu has been supporting Ohanaeze Ndigbo and is about to build an Igbo Hall of Fame and Cenotaph once the Ohanaeze new Secretariat being built by Gov. Rochas Okorocha is completed.
