Residents of Uwani Ugwu Umuakashi of Nsukka in Nsukka local Government Area of Enugu state were reported thrown into grief following the recovery of two corpses from a well located inside a paint factory in the area.
It was gathered that the owner of the paint factory one Samuel Ezema who happened to be one of the deceased had allegedly invited one Emmanuel the other deceased to effect repairs on his faulty water pumping machine sumo that was inside the well. Unfortunately as he was effecting the repairs on the sumo not remembering to switch-off the power the cable that powered the water pumping machine eventually fail to the well water and got them electrocuted.
They owner of the factory was said to have gone inside the well to assist the deceased technician.
Confirming the incident, the state police spokesman DSP Ebere Amarizu said sympathizers who were attracted to the scene alerted police operatives, stressing that investigations have fully with a view to finding out circumstances surrounding their dead.
He said the two dead bodies have been deposited at Faith Foundation Hospital Mortuary Nsukka for autopsy.
