A founding member of All Progressives Congress (APC) and national investigating officer of a Non-Governmental Organization, National Congress for Democrats (NCD), Alhaji Yakubu Alhaji Jibrin, has described the six-month old administration of Governor Muhammed Abubakar in Bauchi a fraud and disappointment to the electorates.

In a press release emailed to 247ureports, the Investigating officer described the governor as a parochial liar and the confusion that has nothing positive to offer in service delivery other than squandering public funds on unnecessary travels and support to his family and friends than implementing the manifesto of APC.

“The governor is yet to even know the environment he was elected to govern. He cannot differentiate between Federal, state and local government roads and calls settling counter-part funding and payment of civil servants salaries as achievements just to attract him encomiums from the ignorant while the state is stagnant without initiatives to move it forward other than unnecessary travels with a large crowd of dependants for leisure.

“Since he assumed office, he has not spent seven working days in Bauchi attending to matters of urgency. He is always on flight for only God knows at public expense while claiming to have inherited an empty treasury that has not stopped him from unnecessary travels and steadily maintaining personal dependants at public expense”, he said

Jibrin added that in the governor’s recent interview with Leadership newspaper in Kaduna, for obvious reason he failed to state the exact length and cost implication of each of the only two roads he awarded, “although he indirectly commended the Yuguda administration for defeating polio in the state he failed to state his efforts in the health and other sectors despite the several loans he collected from a consortium of banks in the name of development. Bauchi state is fast becoming a victim of high-handedness and dictatorship. The governor claims to be Mr. know all while the state bleeds. There is an urgent need for other illustrious sons of the state the likes of Honorable Speaker, Yakubu Dogara, Minister, Adamu Adamu, Senator Ali Wakili, Senator Suleiman Nazif, Dr. Ibrahim Lame, Ibrahim Zailani, Garba Gadi,  Maitama Tugga, Prof. Sule Bogoro, Customs Compt. Gen. Hameed Ali etc to rescue the state from the gummy hands of political merchants pounding the corridor of power ravaging the economy of the state”.

Jibrin said it is alleged that the defeated PDP gubernatorial candidate, Auwal Jatau and APC state chairman, Uba Ahmed Nana were the contractors awarded the supply of vehicles to members of the State House of Assembly, “When did Auwal Jatau and Uba Nana become a vehicle dealer or a registered contractors with the state government to have qualified them the alleged contract? Did they tender for the contracts or were only patronized for business as usual against the principle of the change mantra? Is that the system of change we fought and voted for? To the people, the M.A Abubakar administration is a continuation of the old system of business as usual that is ridiculing APC

“If Yuguda perceived as corrupt and alleged to have stolen N7billion but still could construct an 87-kilometer brand new road with culverts and bridges at less than N1billion (Alkaleri – Futuk) and over 150-kilometer brand new road with bridges and culverts at N5billion (Ningi-Bura), there is no sincerity in the road contract awarded by Governor Abubakar for renovation of a three-kilometer road at over N2billion. It simply shows Yuguda as a more decent and transparent leader while in government”, he said
