Members of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Anambra North Senatorial District for the interest of the party, has warned those ganging up to shuttle the mandate of the delegates on Saturday, December 6, 2014 not to kill, bury the party in the senatorial district and the state by extension.

Speaking when they rose from a meeting in one of the hotels in Onitsha yesterday, the Senatorial District’s decision making body of the party on behalf of the entire members of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, Anambra North senatorial district, threatened to cast a protest votes should the plan(s) of the powers that be in the party at the state level, succeed in going against the voice votes, spoken in favoured of Hon. Dubem Obaze as the flag-bearer of the party.

On the purported plan of the APGA hierarchy to go against the wish of the Anambra North senatorial district for rerun, the members of the party cautioned the party bigwigs on the danger of their intending action. They wondered what the party leaders stand to gain in wasting the public and individuals hard earned resources, just in a bid to satisfy someone allegedly anointed by the number one citizen of the state.

On the alleged instigation of the enemies of APGA, it was gathered that Chief Patrick Obianwu who came behind Hon. Dubem Obaze with one hundred and forty-five (145) votes against two hundred and nineteen (219) votes polled by the choice of the electorate in the primary election is today contending that he failed the election because Michael was added to his name in the ballot papers.

247ureports.com learnt that Chief Patrick Nwachi Obianwu wrote a petition, claiming that the name Michael was added to his name on the ballot paper but sources within APGA State Headquarters in Awka revealed that matter was treated fair and square before the election started and Chief Obianwu consented to the holding of election.

The party hierarchy is said to have argued that it is not enough reason to cancel the well conducted primary.”
