Information reaching 247ureports.com indicates that Hon. Jatau has won the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] gubernatorial ticket for Bauchi State. Hon. Jatau is said to have to won the ticket in a landslide. The election was on Monday night at the Multi-Purpose Bauchi, Bauchi State.
Hon. Jatau defeated Hammayo Misau, Yayale Ahmed, Ali Pateh, Babayo Gamawa and Sen. Adamu Gumba. According to source, Jatau was described as a candidate supported by out-going governor (Mal. Isah Yuguda) while Yayale Ahmed [former secretary to the federal government under Yaradua administration] was supported by the national PDP chairman, Alhaji Muazu. Both Muazu and Yuguda were reported to have reached an agreement to support and deliver Yayale Ahmed – return for a senatorial ticket for Yuguda. But sources in Bauchi revealed that Yuguda reneged on the agreement – to throw his support for another candidate – Hon. Jatau. Yuguda and Muazu are reported by sources to not trust themselves.
