Obiano’s “Operation Kpochapu” Raids Criminal Hideouts, Recovers Arms Cache

The Anambra State Governor’s strategic war against crime continues to yield commendable results as the Anti-Crime Crack Squad code named “Operation Kpochapu” yesterday, recovered arms and ammunition, including one AK4, Military rifle, handcuffs, 1,500 live ammunition and 30 fully loaded magazines, from an uncompleted estate at Uruagu Nnewi, owned by an overseas-based businessman.

The arm cache and others were recovered following a tip-off.

 

Similarly, the joint security task force, comprising the Police, Army, Navy, Department State Service, DSS, and National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, raided a suspected baby factory at Odekpe in Ogbaru Local Government Area and rescued   three teenage pregnant girls during the operation.

A woman popularly known as nurse who ran the home and her agent, were arrested by the force.

According to a source, the bubble burst after one of the pregnant girls was allegedly delivered of a baby boy but was dispossessed of the baby.

 

She was said to have raised the alarm when she could not stomach the disappearance of her new born baby.

 

The baby was later recovered from the owner of the home by the security operatives and handed over to the mother.

 

In a related development, the joint task force has uncovered a criminal hideout in Nnewi after a search on an erosion site in Nnewi North Council Area Anambra State.

Governor Obiano has repeatedly charged the Youths resident in the State to engage self with responsible and profitable businesses stressing his resolve to flush out all forms of criminal activities.
