Dist. Senator Ibeabuchi Moses Onyia, President of the Senate of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), took NANS national officers, zonal leaders, state executives, campus leaders and students on a field inspection of federal road projects in Cross River State and the Benue/Cross River axis on [date]. The aim was for young Nigerians to see the work with their own eyes and give an honest verdict.

Projects Inspected included Alesi–Ugep (Iyamoyung–Ugep) section in Cross River State; Calabar Coastal Highway, Sections 3a/3b (Ch. 0+000 to Ch. 65+000), Cross River State section; and Adilikpo–Ajio–Teshe–Ada–Kyogen–Obudu Road (Benue/Cross River States)

The delegation found works executed to a commendable standard. Site crews showed discipline and technical competence, and each project showed steady, measurable progress. The Calabar Coastal Highway in particular stood out for its scale and ambition. The delegation observed that these roads will cut travel times, connect border communities, open farmlands and markets, and reduce accidents and hardship for the people who use them daily.
